Promise

(Day 15)

I didn't tell them and I allowed a couple of days to pass. I felt really selfish for doing this. Was I being selfish to myself? Loanne? To them? I don't know. My emotions lately has been messed up and it was really annoying.

Loanne told me that she wasn't disappointed in me for not telling them at dinner. But I could see and tell from her eyes and tone of voice that she was really disappointed. Sitting in the edge of the bed, my legs kept on shaking as I tried to make my mind up. I kept on retelling myself the cons of what they had done to me here, and that they were no longer my family. That I had a new life far away from this dirty place. And as soon as I would accept the fact that they are all the same just putting an act on to trick me. The good side of me would come out and say that they did change a lot. That there was Lily here. But it just wasn't enough points for me to believe.

Closig my eyes tightly, I finally made my mind up. A burst of determination shot through me as I jumped up from the bed and made my way out of the room and towards the kitchen where I was sure Lily would be.

I am just going to tell Lily that Loanne and I would be leaving tonight and that it is goodbye. I turned around and walked staright into the kitchen to see Loanne and Lily sitting there talking. Both of their heads shot up and they both looked at me. Lily smiled and Loanne gave me a single look that she knew what I was going to do. I gave her a short nod and looked at Lily before smiling. I walked in as I crossed my arms towards my chest.

I don't kow why I do that, but I guess it gives me a sense of protection.

"What's up Promise?" Lily saidas she turned slightly and faced me.

I looked at her deeply and smiled. "Nothing... I just wanted to come down to tell you something."

She looked confused a bit before looking at Loanne who kept her eyes on me. It was like she was giving me a shot of energy and confidence to say what I had come down to say.

"Of course.. what did you want to tell me?" Lily said cautiously as she eyed Loanne and I over.

I sighed and took a step closer to the both of them before I dropped my arms and stared at her with confidence. "I came down here to tell you that...."

Taking a deep breath I continued. " Loanne and I are leaving tonight... back to our homes."

There was just silence hung heavily around the entire room. I stared back at Lily with confidence gleaming around me, Loanne kept her steady gaze locked on Lily, and Lily stared right back at me her eyes wide with shock.

I knew that I had to break the silence soon, so I touched her arm and lightly shook her. "Lily..." I said. I couldn't help but feel scared that she might be mindlinking someone about what I told her just now. I didn't want to be here when they find out, which I knew was something impossible.

"What do you mean you are..." Lily said as she came back from her shock.

I gave her a soft smile. "You have been so warm and welcoming towards us... but you have your own life... while we have our own life. It just feels like we are barging into your life when you have a kid to raise and being a Beta's mate is hard enough.... We both, Loanne and I came to a conclusion that it would be best if we all head back to our own lives now..." Lily stared at me for a long while and she nodded her head.

"I knew that this day would come but I just didn't expect it to be today..."

I stared at her and smiled before hugging her. "You are the very first werewolf that I had met to be so nice and warm to me..."

She embraced me even harder. " I will always be nice to you... You're my sister."

Pulling back from each other we wiped away our fake imaginary tears. We stared laughing a bit, but I could tell that Lily was forcing hers out.

"I don't think that it's best if we leave tonight though. I say we should leave this afternoon." Loanne said out of nowhere.

We both snapped our heads towards her and she just sat there with a neutral face on. I tilted my head a bit and stared at her. "Why..." Lily beat me to the punch.

Loanne looked at Lily before smirking. "There's going to be a huge storm tonight.. and sorry, I don't want to be drving in that shit stain of weather. So I would like to drive when it's pretty nice out." Loanne said before she moved away fromt he counter and walked out of the kitchen.

I watched her back until it disappeared and I couldn't help but wonder what crawled up her ass and died?

~

I slammed open the bedroom door to see Loanne laying on the bed, simply watching the ceiling. I stood in front of the door and watched her.

"Why are you slamming the door opena dn shut now huh?" Loanne stated as she kept her gaze locked on the ceiling.

I rolled my eyes and made my way towards her. "What crawled up your ass and died Loanne?" I said.

"Nothing died up there." She stated but I rolled my eyes once again. "I don't believe it. You were so rude to Lily down there! What did she do?"

Loanne suddenly sat up and stared at me. "She did nothing okay? I am... probably just pmsing right now." Loanne's voice suddenly changed into a softer tone.

I was absolutely confused at her moods, but I didn't want to fight with her. So I just put it behind me. Usually that's how our fights would end. She would end up stating soemthing and I would put it behind me as if it was something little. But was I willing to do that now? I don't know.

~

Everyting was packed and yes, we were still leaving this afternoon and I could see that Lily wasn't ready yet. I sat down on the couch that Lily was seated at.  She looked at me and I could see sadness in her eyes. She touched my hand and held tightly onto it. I did the same thing with her hand. I didn't want to let her have the feeling and thought that I wanted to leave her behind just for good.

"I'm going to really miss you around here." Lily said.

I smiled and nodded my head. "I'm going to miss your cooking and presence." She laughed and nodded her head at me.

"Listen... I wanted to confess and ask you of something before I leave." I said. She nodded her head and moved closer to me. "What do you want to ask me dear?"

I stared at her. "Did you mindlink anyone that I was going to leave?" She looked at me and shook her head.

"I would never do that. Knowing Xavier and Jayden. They would never let you leave. So it was best for me to tell them after you leave the property." Lily stated. I could tell that she was not lying to me and that made my heart and anxiety calm down... a bit.

"And now the other thing that I wanted to tell you was that...." I wandered off. Not sure if I should tell her. I knew that I could trust her with anything. She was my sister like Loanne.

I felt my hand getting squeezed. "What is it? You don't have to tell me if you want." She said and that did push me to want to tell her.

I stared at her with unease scattering everywhere in my eyes and thoughts. Here goes nothing.

"I had a marriage."
