Promise

Chapter 17: Nearly Here

Recap:

"Calling them... I don't want too." I said after a while.

"Why?" Loanne countered back.

"Because knowing them... and him. They will try their best to not let me leave... and if I end up leaving in front of them. Their anger will be pointed at you..."

"So? Promise. I don't care if they get angry with me. I want you to be happy and let you finish things before you go" Said Loanne.

As she was speaking, i could not help but shake my head. She did not get what I was trying to say.

"No Loanne you should not be saying that... if they direct their anger at you, you will be in danger!" I said to her in a quiet deadly voice.

(Day 36 continued)

I could feel her stare on me as she socked in what I had just said to her. "Wh-what do you mean?" She whispered to me. I could feel her anxiety flowing towards me and soon I felt bad, I should not have made her feel this way but it was for her own good that she knew what would happen to her. 

"You know that I am the mate of an Alpha..." I murmured, it did not take me long to know that she was nodding her head so I continued on with what I was saying. "And you know that mates are everything to a werewolf. Even if they reject each other, they still hold that special place in their hearts. You would think that when you get rejected you would not feel what they are feeling, but you do feel. You feel everything... and it sucks." I whispered at the end. 

I shake my head as I felt Loanne touch my hand in a reassuring way. "What I am trying to tell you Loanne is that if I call them and told them what was going on with me, they would try their best to find a cure especially him. And if that does not work, who will he attack? He will attack that very person that knew all along about my sickness." I turned my head slightly to Loanne. 

"Why would he attack me though? I kept it a secret from them because I did it for you." Loanne said to me. 

I laughed a bitter laugh, " The reason for attacking you is because you knew that we are- no were mates. You know what a mate is for their kind. And for you to keep a huge secret about his mate, it is like you killed her. They would hold you responsible for my death Loanne which is why I am not going to call them because they would kill you... and I don't want you to suffer in their hands." I whispered to her. 

Loanne was quiet for a while and I knew I had shut her up on the idea of calling them, I knew that I should not have kept it from my biological family but somewhere in my mind, I knew that if I told them they would not care if I was dying. They would be happy... right?

(Day 40)

I felt really tired, more tired than usual. It was hard for me to keep my eyes open. I sat on the couch as I waited for Loanne to come back with food for the both of us. My mind wandered around that I did not hear the loud thunder rumbling outside. 

"Gosh, it is already pouring out there!" said Loanne as she came into the living room. I blinked and tilted my head in confusion. 

"It's raining?" I questioned. I heard Loanne laugh as she placed the delicious food onto the living room table. 

"Yeah! You didn't hear the loud thunder and the sound of  pattering rain?" Loanne asked me. 

I shrugged my shoulder in embarrassment as I folded my hands together. "Sorry... my mind wandered so I was not paying attention to anything..." I said shyly. 

Loanne laughed once more, "Of course you weren't paying attention. You are so adorable Promise." She said. I could hear the sound of plates moving around and i knew that she was putting food on the plate for the both of us. 

I felt bad knowing that she had to place food for me and sometimes help feed me. I felt so weak and useless. I felt her grab my hand as she placed my plate. I smiled and murmured a small thanks before slowly lowering it down to my lap.  

I lifted up my fork and was about to put the food into my mouth when a loud rumbling noise outside made an appearance. I froze a bit before putting the food in my mouth. "It's really storming out there huh?" I said to Loanne. 

I could hear her chew and swallow before she replied. "Yeah, it probably will be storming up for the entire week." She said before resuming back to her food. 

Storming for the entire week? I could feel my mood go down a bit. I wanted to go outside for a bit until I had to stay in my bed. But then the more I thought about it raining for the entire week, the more I understood. Nature is calling for water, the wildlife needs water to survive. 

I ate all of my food and sat patiently for Loanne to get back as she was clearing up all of the dishes. I tapped my fingers on my blanket covered lap and started whisper singing See you again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. 

"It's been a long day without you, my friend

"Awe I thought you were going to rap a bit" Loanne joked. I jumped up in shock before laughing as I place my hand over my racing heart. 

"I wish I could but if I did rap for once, it will all just be mumbled like how Iggy Azalea raps." I joked 

Loanne laughed as she came over to me. "Oh yes, I can imagine that and how is she still famous? Like she can't even rap for life.." Loanne said and we both ended up falling into fits of laughter. 

Tonight was the best of them, and it will be forever in my heart...

Please don't bash on me for making fun of Iggy Azalea. If you like her don't hunt me down and hurt me. But we can all agree that she can't rap... at all.
