INDIAN FARMER PROTESTS~

So, you guys think politics in America is bad? (I'm sorry I didn't mean it as an offence and if it was I'm really sorry TnT) There's a literal protest going on at National Highways in India because farmers want the Indian government to change the laws that prevent them from getting a profit from their produce and being at the hands of greedy corporate industries. In India farmers are considered vital for the economy since they provide food for everyone in the country and YET the politicians in India and the Agriculture minister of India just look at them like they're a complete hindrance. People keep chanting 'we respect farmers' and everything but is ANYONE actually DOING something about it? And yet the political parties in India literally have the audacity and guts to conduct elections in states and organizing political campaigns. Absolutely disgusting. And that's one of the major reasons why the COVID-19 cases have literally shot up through the roof. Every year almost 1500+ farmers kill themselves because of greedy corporate sectors and not getting a steady platform of work

Farmers are literally DYING there on highways and migrant workers have had their fair share of torture with no way to travel back to their homes without proper transport. People say the Indian government has literally FAILED in planning for the second strain of the Corona in India. And it is true unfortunately. The Central government just recently dismissed a plea from Delhi stating that they need more oxygen tanks and cylinders as people are gasping for air. And then people wonder WHY the cases are increasing, amazing....

Politicians DO have the chance to do good for the economy? But the real question we must ask ourselves is are they ACTUALLY doing something something to help the economy grow as well helping people? Not just in India, everywhere else around the world. And there's police brutality in India too not to mention major police officers here in India are under the influences of big politicians and all that. Quite saddening really and the reason I posted this is not to antagonize anyone and I'm really sorry if someone found this offensive but it's the hard and literal truth. And also people think I'm not self aware of what's happening around the world. Hope you guys are staying at home and staying safe, and taking all the necessary precautions

Since there are many posts on various social media accounts dedicated to Black Lives matter and LGBTQ protests and Stop Asian hate, all of which I FULLY support <3 there have to be SOME posts dedicated to farmers' unheard pleas in India
