PUJAS AND YAGYAS (YANDERE SUGAWARA X INDIAN READER)

So today I had to attend a few pujas like the Satyanarayan Puja, Shiva Abhishekham and the Sudarshana Homam. The Satyanarayanã Puja is a religious ritual worship of the Hindu god Vishnu. Shiva Abhishek is a way of offering respect to Shiva; by pouring water or milk over the lingam or the Shiva ling. You can also use items like ghee, curd, honey, sandalwood, etc to perform Shiva Abhishek; each of them have their own benefits. Sudarshana Homam is a Hindu ritual involving fire. Sudarshana Homam owes it's origin to the Sudarshana Chakra which is among the major psychic weapons of Lord Vishnu who is the preserver as well as the sustainer of the Universe

Your parent's anniversary was the next day and they decided to do a SatyaNarayan Puja to celebrate their anniversary. As much as you loved your parents, you didn't really feel like sitting through something like 4-5 hours for it wearing an itchy traditional dress for so long. Apparently your parents weren't the only ones who'd host a puja that day, your mother's friend's family would also be hosting another puja, the Sudarshana Homam and the Shiva Abhishek which meant you had to attend 3 pujas that day

You were surprised when you received a text from her during your lunch period. When you were talking with Sugawara, your phone suddenly pinged indicating that you've received a message. You took it out and when you read it, you sighed and rubbed your temples and groaned. Sugawara being the oh so ever concerned friend that he was asked you what was up and if everything was all right. "My mom wants to take me dress shopping for her anniversary's puja'' you sighed and continued "I really hate going dress shopping and besides I look silly in every dress I wear'' but Sugawara gave you a comforting smile and replied "I don't think you'd look silly, no matter what you wear you'll always look beautiful and womanly'' he beamed at you and you smiled back, grateful in return

The thing was, Sugawara already knew your parent's anniversary was coming up and he may or may not have taken a little peek at your phone and it's history to know all the details. What? He was only making sure you weren't in any trouble or you were being bothered by someone, it would be very disgraceful of him if he wouldn't be able to save you in time and besides you both were destined to get married one day so it was his duty as your future husband to make sure you were all right. Sugawara was very fascinated with everything about your culture and traditions and he'd even gone through the length of researching a lot about it so you both could have a beautiful lavish Indian styled wedding when you both get married. However it was time for him to come back from dream world because he heard you telling him that you had a call to attend to and you'd be back in a short while as Sugawara watched you leave

Sugawara decided to follow you to make sure nothing happened to you and his curiosity also got the better of him. Your mother told you that your her friend's family would also be doing some pujas and you had to attend them but you'd also be able to see one of your friends Yash whom you haven't seen in a really long time. You were also excited to see Yash and you exclaimed "Really? Is Yash coming? Wow, it's been so long since I've seen him'' and Sugawara frowned when he heard you say that. Just who the hell was this Yash guy, was he some sort of relative of yours? He hoped he was one of your relatives because if he wasn't things were going to be messy and complicated and NOT for Sugawara

You ended the call and you went back to the cafeteria and of course, Sugawara reached there before you and he pretended that he didn't hear anything. "So, what's up if you don't mind me asking?" he asked you nonchalantly hoping you'd tell him. "Oh, it's just my mom and I'll be meeting one of my childhood friends since I hadn't seen in a long time'' and Sugawara had to restrain himself from snapping and tracking that little twerp down and snapping his neck in half like a twig. However he didn't want to scare you, his beautiful precious angel. The last thing he wanted was the love of his life aka. YOU being scared of him. "Koushi, I was wondering if you'd like to come as well, I mean if it's not too much of a hassle'' you said and he looked at you for a few minutes. He felt so happy and honored you were trusting him to come to your puja, of course he accepted in an instant. He also promised himself that he'd keep that Yash dude away from you, whoever the hell he was
