"Our cruise ships are still sailing."

I took a sip at my wine after announcing the news to the board members. They were all celebrating while I'm still internalizing how our cruise line's passenger quantity increased for the past week.

All I know is that I've consented to the agreement of the board members about hiring new cruise captains which is our strategy to improve our cruise line services against new competitors. I haven't seen them pa. But I'll be meeting them when they land from aboard back here in Manila.

After more discussions, the meeting has adjourned.

"Fuck, ano ba!" I beeped my car's horn when some random car nearly bumped mine at the crossroad when in fact their traffic light is in red. "Violator."

"Good afternoon po, Ma'am," the staff greeted me. I gave him a small smile before walking inside. Bumungad sa akin ang amoy ng pagkain. The aroma was salivating.

I took my phone out from my bag when it rang. It was George calling.

"Don't be late. Grab this chance, gumugurang ka na!"

"I don't thing I can do it," I bit my lip.

Wouldn't it be tiring to introduce myself again to someone and get to know the person better?

"I thought you said you're over your past relationship already and you want to start anew?" He reminded me.

"Hey, lasing ako that time! I was just joking!" Depensa ko.

"Nako, wala ng bawian! Just try and if it won't work, then fine. Hindi na kita kukulitin ulit, promise!" His voice was promising. "But just try this once! Super pogi 'yung guy I swear! He's rich and very much your ideal type kung iisipin. Kapag nagsisinungaling ako, kalmutin mo betlog ko!"
