9• The Grapes🍇

45 18 4

Once upon a time long ago
A fox fed up with hunger and drought,
Was trying to end his starvation
All around some food he sought.

But the poor hungry fox
Could find nothing to eat,
He just wanted something filling
Be it bitter or sweet.

His excitement touched the ninth sky
When he saw tasty and fresh grapes,
Hanging on a straight tall tree
All he wished was to become an ape.

Because no matter how much
He jumped and jumped and jumped,
He couldn't reach those grapes
In dust, he was entirely dumped.

So he gave up the desire to eat
That ugly and sour thing up there,
And was sure that those were
Not worth the time he spared.

So remember that you'll be the best
If you will help others somehow,
Being useless with beauty will never
Earn you a single 'Wow'.
