Y/N's POV
We headed to the middle of nowhere.
There weren't any infected around, however, so that was a start.
Turns out Pony went with the twins to get some supplies from the Safe House, but otherwise we're screwed.
We are going to die or get infected unless we find another place, I'm sure of it.
In the meantime, Georgie looked for dried leaves, branches and rocks for a campfire.
Mimi set it up with the supplies Georgie brought.
Poley and Giraffy collected some berries from nearby bushes.
I watched out for any infected and actually managed to get one away from our area.
It was a close call.
They came back with food, a hammer, the swords, some blankets, pillows, towels, two umbrellas, and a sewing kit.
We set up "camp" in between some small trees.
Mimi sewed the towels together, and Poley, Pony and I placed them on top of the trees.
We now had a small "tent" to sleep under in case it rained.
The next morning, Georgie and the twins went to look for branches and dried leaves.
Poley and I went to look for water.
Pony and Mimi cleaned the place.
Giraffy stood guard.
This place wasn't truly safe; an infected could show up any minute.
This was our daily routine for a few weeks.
Until one night..
"I want to go back home with Zizzy and mom and dad," Zuzy cried.
Zee started crying too, and so did Georgie.
I did my best to comfort Georgie, while Mimi and Giraffy comforted the twins.
Poley said he had to go walk something off for a second.
I wanted to go with him, but I needed to calm down Georgie first.
Besides, Poley might just need some time alone.
Poley's POV
I.. also want to go home.
I want this to be a terrible dream; I want to wake up and go to work.
Say hi to Erika as I walk by, finish whatever case we were in charge of, and then go hang out with Doggy and Y/N to finish the day.
Maybe stay at Doggy's for a while or him and Y/N will stay at mine.
We could go get some ice cream with Eri.
I could push Doggy on Y/N to mess with them. It'd be hilarious!
I stopped.
What was that sound?
Someone was nearby.
It's from behind me.
"I found another survivor!" he shouted.
