Navy blue locks fluttered in the wind, catching Chongyun's attention. Chongyun watched as the other talked to merchants and people of high status. He stood straight and tall, speaking of business plans and who knows what.
The male rested his head on his palm, gazing at the stunning and elegant other. He couldn't help but admire him, though they had never met formally. Chongyun saw him every now and then, the first time seeing him he had mistaken him for a female, until the smaller male addressed himself as the second son of his wealthy and famous family.
As he stared mindlessly, he snapped back to reality once he realized he had been staring right back at him. He excused himself from the merchants he spoke to and walked over to Chongyun. "Apologies, but I couldn't help but notice you were, uh, staring." Chongyun sat there speechless, before the blush began to set in.
"Ah- I- uh, you're even prettier up close wow- I mean, hello! I'm um, Chongyun!" He managed to say, though now he wished he had said nothing at all, considering the mess of words that came out.
Xingqiu giggled, "hm, I'm Xingqiu, delighted to meet you, Chongyun." The way he formally spoke to Chongyun stirred up butterflies in Chongyun's stomach, his blush deepening in color, lighting up his light-toned skin.
"Archons, sorry, that definitely did not come out how I planned, hehe." He rubbed the back of his neck as he faced Xingqiu. "May I, uh, make it up to you? I'm sure it was very uncomfortable to hear such things from someone you just met."
"Yeah? How so?"
"Hm uh, lunch? At Wanmin restaurant perhaps?" The exorcist proposed the idea, waiting patiently for a response.
"Wonderful, see you then!" The hydro wielder exclaimed, waving as he smiled, walking away in quick steps.
"Woah." Chongyun held his hand to his lips, shocked by his own words. He felt strong admiration of Xingqiu, he was smart, incredibly good with words, dazzling, and so much more, Chongyun could go on forever and he had just met him.
"Boo!" Hu Tao leaped onto Chongyun, laughing. "Soooo, what was that?"
"I- What- Where'd you come from?" He questioned, confused.
"Answer the question Chongyunnnn." Hu Tao spoke.
"I don't know, I uh, made a friend?"
"A friend huh?" She nudged him, only to be shoved away playfully.
Very few hours passed by, Chongyun arriving at Wanmin restaurant, Xingqiu already at a table, waving at him.
