i know none of us here are dumb, we all know hollywood is sexist as fuck; they think woman over 30 can only play witches, pregnancy ruins their life, motherhood means their not sexy and they're only good if they're a man's accessory. but not many people realise that megan fox has honestly probably taking the brunt of it all;

1. JENNIFER'S BODY

ok so this is genuinely one of my favourite movies, however i have a serious issue with the way it was marketed. recently, the film has gained loads of attention and finally gotten the appreciation it deserves, however, when they film was initially released in 2009, it flopped in theatres. the film was originally set out to be a feminist cult film that focused on the friendship between jennifer and needy, but due to the sexist marketing, it targeted a predominately male audience as a sexualised horror film. this lead to the film being misinterpreted as a "slutty" movie aimed at men who wished to stare at megan fox like she was a piece of meat, causing the film to get poor reviews and ratings.

megan stated that her hypersexualisation from the film have her a "genuine psychological breakdown".

she also said this about the scene where jennifer is scarified:

"I realized in filming that scene...that was really reflective of what I felt like my relationship with the movie studios was at that point. Because I felt like that's what they were willing to do. To literally bleed me dry, they didn't care about my health, my wellbeing; mentally, emotionally, physically, at all. And they were willing to sacrifice me physically as long as they got what they wanted out of it and it didn't matter how many times I spoke up and said 'I'm hurting, this isn't right, I need someone to protect me, this is going on, someone needs to listen,' it didn't matter at all."

and about the lake scene:

"I just felt so overexposed and I felt so hunted by media, by tabloids. I felt so bullied, also, by just the world in general. The last thing I had that was mine, the last bit of privacy that I had was my body and I didn't want to show it."

^ she had to fly home & take a break from filming

she also said that both her and amanda seyfried (needy) dreaded filming their kiss scene because they both knew that it would be sexualised and the real meaning of the scene would be overshadowed by it.

2. MICHAEL BAY

this one may be a little long because there's a lot to cover.

megan auditioned to be an extra in Bad Boys II (2003), which was directed by michael bay. at the time of the audition, megan said she was around 15 or 16 (in 10th grade). during the audition, bay put her in a bikini and heels and made her dance under a waterfall for a club scene. whilst megan has stated that she was never assaulted or felt like she was being prayed upon by him, it's obviously not okay for a man around 37/38 at the time to ask an underage girl to dance around wet in nothing but a bikini and heels. and when she spoke about this on jimmy kimmel, it was treated as a joke. she told the story again on another talk show/interview and once again, it was treated as a joke and she was forced to watch the scene. this was her reaction:
