Dear (Y/N)

By the time your read this letter I would have left and the news of the fire would have gotten out, but I couldn't leave without a last goodbye. I know our final conversation left us being strangers again, but I wish I could take it all back. One day in our futures I will make it up to you, but until then we must remember wherever we are, we admire the same moon like we once did. I will always remember the way you'd drag me out into the preserve so we could stargaze in the clearing. how Cora would always make up a dance to show you if you came for a sleepover because 'my best friend is her new sister in law'.

I never took it seriously until, you were no longer mine and I had to love your smile from afar even if it was while you were looking at someone other than me. I'm so sorry my beautiful (y/n). you could break my heart into a thousand pieces yet every piece would adore you the same like the day we met.

Yours, always and forever, Derek
