Harry frowned, but didn't argue. "Okay, well... I started liking her during fourth year. She was pretty and older than me. She was the first girl I ever really noticed if you know what I mean. Well anyway, I asked her to the Yule Ball but she was already going with Cedric. I s'pose that made me a little jealous. But I never really got to know her until fifth year. I think she'd been flirting with me for a while before we, you know, kissed, but she was never very straightforward. Always wanted me to just somehow know exactly what she wanted me to do. It was a bit annoying, actually.
When we went on our first and only date she started crying about Cedric halfway through and then got mad when I told her I had to go see Hermione at the Three Broomsticks. Hermione told me I should have invited her, but if she wanted to come along why didn't she just say so? And she was always crying about something. I dunno, it kind of just fizzled out after Marietta snitched on the DA."
You couldn't help but chuckle at how oblivious Harry could be sometimes. "So you admired her from far away but once you got to know her you realized girls are more complicated than just being pretty?"
Harry blinked in surprise. "N--no, that's not what I--"
"Relax," you interrupted him. "Understanding girls with a lot of emotions can be hard for guys who don't know how to express their own and vice versa. I don't want to insult you, but I get where Cho was coming from. She certainly could have communicated with you better, but I think she was still trying to deal with Cedric's death. You were the closest thing she had to closure. I'm not saying it was right or wrong, but she was an emotional girl who needed a way to deal with trauma."
"But she wasn't even in the maze or--"
"I know, Harry," you cut him off again, taking hold of his hand. "But it was still hard for her to lose the boy she loved. Like I said, emotions are hard to understand."
Harry looked like he was in deep thought as you brought his hand to your lips and kissed the back of it softly.
"So how does she make you feel?" You murmured against the smooth skin of Harry's hand. The moonlight fell directly on it and you could see the faint white lines left as a reminder of how horrible Umbridge had been.
"A little annoyed, more confused than anything," Harry finally answered.
"That's good."
"Really? It is?"
"Dealing with pent up frustrations is always good," you nodded.
"Oh," Harry said, looking pleased. "Cool."
"Last one, alright?" You said after a few moments of comfortable silence.
"Ok.."
"How do... How do I make you feel?"
