Theo's POV:
"She, what?" I asked.

"She freaking kissed me!" He yelled.

My heart broke. I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry. I wanted to do a lot more. But instead, I just asked...

"So.. are you getting back together...?"

He thought for a moment.

"Well, I don't know. Should I?" He asked.

"No!" I said without thinking, a little louder than I should have.

"What?" He asked.

"I mean... " I trailed off.

I couldn't let them get back together but it really wasn't my choice.

How am I supposed to stop this?

"I mean, you should do what you feel is right. Like you always do. She caused you pain... but.. that was in the past. And... what I've learned is that the past doesn't define you. So... if she makes you happy now... then, yes. Be with her." I said trying so hard not to let my voice crack.

It cracked slightly at the last part but I coughed to cover it up.

He looked me in my eyes. Almost like he was searching for something.

"So.. you want me to get back together with her?" He asked with a confused look.

"It's not about what I want, Li." I said.

He sighed.

"I'll just... sleep on it." He said, still sounding really confused.

"Well, how did the... kiss... make you feel?" I asked.

"Nothing? But I wanted it to feel like more. Like my mind wants her but my heart doesn't." He said.

I sparked a little bit of hope inside of me.

"So.. who does your heart want?" I asked.

He looked up at me a little scared.. but then it turned into a smirk?

"I'll tell you my secret if you tell me yours." He said with an evil smile.

My smile dropped.

My secret?

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Who do you like?" He asked.

"Oh, it's still none of your business." I remarked.

"Well, then I guess you'll never find out who my heart longs for." He said in a breathy, restless tone.

"I guess not." I shrugged with a smile, making his smile drop.

"Really? Why can't I knowwwww?" He whined.

"Because... it's not a big deal." I shrugged again.

"If it's not a big deal then tell me!" He whined again.

"Mmm, no." I said.

"Please?" He begged.

"Nope." I said.

"Please. Please. Please!" He begged more.

"No. No. And nope!" I said back.

"Ugh, all I want to be is more involved in your life. Sue me." He said with a hurt tone.

"Just let it go, Li. C'mon, let's go watch family feud." I said with a smile.

"Fine." He said.

3rd POV:
The rest of the night, things were off between Liam and Theo. Theo was trying to lighten the mood but Liam was hurt that Theo wouldn't open up to him.

It might've been a simple crush but to Liam, it showed that Theo didn't trust him. And that really hurt Liam.

The only problem is that Theo felt he could never let Liam know. He would ruin everything.

Theo felt they just wouldn't work.

They went to Liam's bed and slept next to each other, as Theo was afraid to have more nightmares.

Liam was the only person who made them disappear.

Theo didn't know what he would do without the beta.

Liam's POV:

The next morning:
I woke up with Theo's arm wrapped around my waist from behind. It felt nice, it felt.... Natural?

I moved over in his arm to look at his face. He truly was gorgeous.

I shook my head and pulled myself out of bed. I didn't want him to wake up and catch me starting at him. I picked up my phone and saw that I had a few texts from Hayden.

H: Hey Li!

H: You up yet?

H: Text me when you wake up. (:

H: I can't stop thinking about last night. (:

I sighed and put my phone down.

I looked back over at Theo. I need to get my head out of the gutter. Theo likes someone else.

That.... This.... Us... will never happen.

I picked my phone up again.

L: Me either. (:
