Kerubi: Is that...what I think it is?

Robert: Yes it is Kerubi, that's the capital of our kingdom

Kerubi: And the name?

Robert:...Please don't laugh at it

Kerubi was just confused

Kerubi: Why would I laugh?

Robert: Well, it's because of what our ancestors named this city, and it's honestly somewhat stupid

Kerubi:*sigh* I'll try my best to not laugh

Robert: Thank you. The name of our capital is...Dinkleburg

...

Kerubi: It's fucking what?

Robert: It's Dinkleburg, the capital of the Daggal kingdom is Dinkleburg

Kerubi: Dinkleburg...Dinkleburg?!

She didn't even laugh, she just looked out of it.

Kerubi: That's so damn stupid...

Renai: I agree

She poked her head out the window to join in the conversation. Kerubi looked over to her, gently pushing her head back into the carriage.

Kerubi: So, what do we do at the Gate?

Robert: The standard check but with magic sensors as well, but since you're traveling with us you have a bit more lenience. You are still checked though so be ready

Kerubi: Got it Sir
——

Soon enough, the group made it to the city walls, and the process was rather smooth. She made sure to warn the guards of her armor before they tried anything, so no one was poked.

The inside of the city was much brighter and more colorful than the last, with red, blue, and orange colors dotting the people and the buildings. To the humans in the group, it was a relief to be within this beautiful city again, for the worm on the other hand, it was more than that.

Kerubi was breathing in the air, and smelling everything around her, it was strange still that she could do that, but she wasn't complaining.

Robert: Kerubi! Stop daydreaming and let's get moving!

Kerubi: Huh? Oh right, coming!

She ran to catch up to the group, as they neared closer and closer to the palace in the center.

...

Kerubi: What...what is that?

Marcus: Something wrong Kerubi?

She didn't exactly know how to describe it, but...

Kerubi: I feel like there's something nearby that...calls to me

Winna: Calls? What do you mean?

...

Richard: Kerubi, you're drooling

Kerubi: Oh!

She wiped her mouth, but still looked in that direction.

Winna: Uhh, sir? Something's wrong with her

Robert was sat on the side, watching the whole thing. He'll admit that he was confused, just what's going on with her?

Robert: Kerubi...lass!

Kerubi: H-huh?!

She snapped her head to him, standing at attention.

Robert: What's gotten into you? You look like you found the greatest treat in the world!

Kerubi: That's...not fully wrong on how I feel right now

Marcus: You're hungry? Is that what this is about?

Kerubi: I think so...but whatever's making me hungry is over there

She pointed in the direction she was staring in, Robert knew what was in that direction so he answered her.

Robert: That, dear girl, is the direction of the Temple

Winna: A temple is what's got her riled up?!

Robert looked at Kerubi, feeling his own soul quiver as he looked into her eyes.

Her eyes weren't the soft purple he knew, but instead looked predatory, with the slit pupils of a wild beast.

Robert: Kerubi...go ahead and check it out, just show your badge to the castle guards and they'll let you in when you're done

She didn't respond back, as a purple blur sped away from them, towards the temple,

Winna: My god! She's so fast!

Marcus: What kind of worm has super speed?!

Robert:...One we shouldn't mess with, that's what

The Grand Temple

A place of worship and kindred care that takes in the prayers of the people and grants sanctum to the weary and lost souls that enter its walls.

At the foot of a grand alter to the gods, a woman with blonde hair was praying. She wore a black dress and had a white veil resting on her head, letting two strands of her hair fall down over her chest.

As she was praying for another safe day, she felt a connection to the deities she prayed to, something that happens quite often, despite what most people are led to believe.

Do you hear me Priestess?

Priestess: I do hear you Elenh

Elenh, one of the 4 gods worshipped in the kingdom, was the one who governed over military might and strategic power. She is this world's equivalent to who we would know as Athena, the Greek goddess.

Elenh: There is a matter of the world that need to be discussed

Priestess: What would that be oh goddess?

Elenh: A beast has entered our world, yet it does not know its purpose. This being has impacted all gods across the lands, and we must make sure it is kept friendly

Priestess: A beast? What beast could cause harm to you?

Elenh: One of great power, and despite what it can do and what it is, it has been making friends with humans. It is loving the mortal populace

Priestess: Than...what is the cause for alarm?

Elenh: That behavior of it's could only last so long before it fully realizes what it could do... it has a heart, making it capable of compassionate choices. I ask of you to spread this message to the rest of the kingdom...do not fear this beast; befriend it, love it, and it will love back

Priestess: I shall start that, but what does the beast look like?

Elenh: It's-

The doors to the hall suddenly opened with great force, echoing across the hall. The priestess let out a scared shriek before turning around with an angry glare.

Priestess: Ma'am, how dare you disrespect this great hall with such attitude! This place is one of serenity and peace, not one of barbaric actions and swindling brutes!

She glared at the woman who entered, slightly unnerved by her predatory purple eyes.

Elenh: Priestess...

Priestess: My Lady?

Elenh:...Thats the beast

...

Priestess: Oh dear Lords no...
