Life never goes as planned.
It's basically guaranteed that in your lifetime you'll get let down. Somebody will fuck you over. Something won't go your way. You will lose something, or somebody you love.
Luke knew this. He's known since he was a child.
Nothing was certain for him. But he was used to it by now.
All he had was his mom, and his best friends.
Luke never thought he'd fall in love like he did. He'd never felt as though he was worthy of being loved, or being in love.
And after what happened to him, he couldn't feel any stronger about that.
