Chapter Eighteen

*Regina's POV**Major time lapse*
It's been 9 months. 9 fucking months. I haven't gotten to talk to Emma again. Every time she calls, I miss it. She's busy every time I call. We keep leaving messages. Her last message was 4 months ago. I've left probably around five hundred messages. I miss her so damn much. Everyone does. She left on December 27th. It's September 28th. I'm starting to think something's wrong. "Mom?" Henry asked and opened my bedroom door. I looked up at him. "Yeah?" I asked. He ran over and jumped in my bed with me. "Do you think Ma's coming back soon?" He asked. I smiled weakly. "I sure hope so." I said. He nodded. "I want her to be here on my birthday." He said. I smiled. Henry's birthday is October 11th. "Well, hopefully she'll be here kid. I miss her a lot." I said. He nodded and ran out of the room. It was almost 11 o'clock at night. I don't know why he's still up. Hell. I don't know why I'm still up. I watched Friends until around 1 am. Then, the doorbell rang. I raised an eyebrow and walked downstairs. My heart exploded when I opened the door and I was at a loss for words. "I... What are you... Uh..." I said. Then, I just collapsed into the strong arms. I felt all of my pain wash away and tears of joy poured from my eyes as the strong arms held me tightly. "Regina. Holy shit." That beautiful voice said. "I... You're here." I said, still in her embrace. "I am." She said. "I'm not leaving again. I promise." She said. "Hell no you're not leaving." I said. She kissed my head lightly. "I love you Emma. So fucking much." I said. "Oh honey, I know. I love you too. I'm sorry we didn't get to talk much while I was gone." She said. I shook my head. "None of that matters anymore. You're home. That's all that matters. And you're safe. And you're not leaving." I said. She chuckled. "Come on." I said and grabbed her hand. She laughed as I kicked the door shut behind us. "Where are we going?" She asked. "To our room. We have a lot of catching up to do." I said. She smiled and we went upstairs. She changed into a pair of sweatpants and a tank top, casting aside the clothes she was wearing. We got in bed, and just laid there. She turned on Friends, then looked at me. "So. Anything new since I've been gone?" She asked. "Well. Zelena and Belle got back together. Still together. Uh. Ruby and Tink broke up. Tink had a short fling with Robin Hood, then got back together with Rubes. Uh. Henry has a girlfriend. I-" I was going to keep going but she cut me off. "Hold on. Henry has a girlfriend?" She said. I smiled and nodded. "It's Paige." I said. She smiled. "That's good." She said. I nodded. "Uh... There's not much else that's new." I said. She chuckled. "Well, I'm glad I'm home. I really fucking missed you." She said and kissed me lightly. I smiled. "I know Emma. I missed you too. I will not let you leave again." I said. "I know. I'm not planning on leaving again. Even if BlackBeard was storming Aurora's castle. There's no way I could leave you again." She said. I chuckled. "Good." I said and kissed her. She kissed back and I smiled as she pulled away. "I love you." I said. She nodded. "I love you too." She said. She kissed my temple and we laid down. We drifted off to sleep and I smiled at Emma's warmth. I missed it. So damn much. We woke up the next morning and it was 10 o'clock. It was Saturday. I smiled as I felt the two arms wrapped around me. I turned around in them and smiled at the blonde. She smiled and kissed my nose. "Good morning dear." I said. "Good morning darling." She said. I smiled. "I missed waking up to you." I said. "Honey, I missed waking up to you more than anything. Aurora and Mulan made me wanna vomit. They were all over each other. It made me miss you even more. Even though I wanted them to get a damn room." She said. I chuckled. "I love you." I said. She smiled. "I love you too." She said. "So, how about, before we tell anyone you're back, give it a day or two so I can just have you to myself." I said. Emma smiled. "I'd like that." She said and kissed my forehead. I smiled again and nodded. Then, there was a knock on my door. Emma quickly got up and ran to the bathroom. I laughed and walked to the door. I opened it and smiled. "Oh. You're awake." Snow said with a smile. "Uh.. Yes... What are you doing here?" I asked. She frowned. "Honey... Didn't Blue tell you?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow. "Tell me what?" I asked. "Emma.... Is dead..." Snow said and swallowed heavily. "How do you know?" I asked. This idiot. Emma's not dead. She's in my bathroom. "She got in touch with Mulan and she said that Mulan told her after they killed the last ogre, Emma collapsed and then disintegrated." She said. "Oh..." I said. She frowned again. "Leave. I need some time alone. Get out. Please." I said. She nodded and left. I shut the door and Emma walked out. "What the fuck. Blue's a liar. Mulan and Aurora sent me home. We finished the war and they watched me leave." Emma said and crossed her arms. "I love you Emma." I said. She smiled weakly. "I love you too." She said. "I'm really glad you're not dead." I said and chuckled. She smiled. "Me too dear. I'd miss you." She said. "You'd miss me? Hun, do you know how hard these 9 months were on me? Pretty sure if you died, I would too." I said. She laughed. "So, we still going to wait a few days?" She asked. I nodded. "I'm calling Blue though." I said. She nodded. I picked up my phone and dialed her number. "Hello?" She asked. "What is wrong with you?" I asked. "R-Regina." She said. "Why are you telling people Emma's dead?" I spit. "Because she is... She died last night..." She said. "No she's not! I talked to her this morning!" I shouted. "Y-you did?" She asked. "Yes. I did. So, call all the people that you told she was dead and tell them she's not. Because you and I both know she's alive." I spit again. "Y-yes ma'am. I'll fix it." She said. "Good." I said and hung up. Emma smiled at me. "Scare her?" She asked. "Pretty sure I terrified her." I said. She chuckled and walked over. She wrapped her arms around me tightly, and I hugged her back. "I love you." She said. I nodded and kissed her cheek lightly. "I missed you." I said. I heard her release a sigh. "I missed you too darling." She said. I smiled at the cute nickname that she's picked up from me. "Mom can I- MA!" Henry said and ran in the room. "Henry!" She shouted and hugged the boy tightly. "Ma I missed you!" He shouted. Tears of joy were pouring down her cheeks. "I missed you too kiddo!" She said. He smiled. "Okay Hen. You have to keep Ma being back a secret. Okay?" I said. He nodded. "Of course." He said. I smiled. "I love you Ma." He said. She smiled. "I love you too kid." She said and kissed his forehead. "Ma, mom, can I go see Paige?" He asked. Emma and I both nodded and he ran out. "So. What do you want to do today?" I asked. She smiled. "I want to spend the whole day with you. Holding you. Laying in bed. Watching movies." She said. I smiled. "That can be arranged darling." I said. She looked deep into my eyes and I looked into hers. Her eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips. Then, returned to my eyes. I leaned in and captured her lips in mine. She immediately kissed me back. I smiled into it. She nibbled on my lower lip and I parted my lips slightly. Our tongues began a fight for dominance and I wasn't going to give in easily. She gave up after a minute and I was victorious. She moved her hands from my hips to my butt. This kiss is filled with love, passion, emotion. I forgot how much I've missed her kisses. After a long time, air became a problem. She pulled away and rested her forehead on mine. We were both panting. Her hands were still on my ass and I smiled. "Holy... Shit... I missed... That." She said. I smirked. "Well, darling... You're not going to miss anything for awhile..." I said and breathed heavily. She chuckled. "Y'know, castle walls are extremely thin and I hated it." She said. I chuckled as we sat on the bed. "What did you hear?" I asked. She chuckled. "Mulan and Aurora. Alone." She said. I laughed. "Enough said." I answered with a laugh. She smiled and nodded. "It just made me think of how much I missed you." She said. I smiled. "I love you. A lot." I said. She smiled a half smile. "I love you too." She said. I smiled. "Emma... You know... I've been thinking... And... I uh... I know you just came back. And it's up to you... But... I want to have a baby." I said, feeling embarrassed and terrified. "You do?" She asked. I nodded and she smiled. "I thought you couldn't conceive.." Emma said. I smiled. "Well, true love is amazing." I said. Emma smiled and pulled me in for a kiss. "How about, you have Henry stay at Snow and Charming's tonight and we make this happen." Emma said. I smiled and nodded. "Let's do it." I said. She chuckled. "Literally." She said. I chuckled and lightly smacked her arm. "So, you sure you want to do this?" I asked. Emma nodded. "I've been ready to have a baby since we got married." She said. I smiled again. "You know what else I've been thinking about?" Emma said. "Hm?" I asked and traced invisible patterns on her hand. "Why don't I change my name to Emma Mills?" She said. I looked at her, tears brimming my eyes. "Or, I could change my name to Regina Swan." I said. She smiled. "It's up to you dear." She said. I smiled. "Regina Mills Swan. I kinda like that." I said. She chuckled. "Ooh, I could change my middle name to Mills. You know. Emma Mills Swan." She said. "Nah, Emma Marie Swan is a pretty name." I said. "Yeah. But Regina Maria Mills is a pretty name too." She said. I smiled. "Well, I could make my name Regina Maria Mills Swan." I said. She laughed. "You could." She said. I smiled. "I'm changing my name to Regina Mills Swan." I said. She smiled and kissed me lightly. "So no more Swan-Mills huh?" She said. I shrugged. "Henry will still be a Swan-Mills." I said. She nodded. "Do you want me to stay Swan-Mills?" I asked. She shook her head. "No dear. I'm technically still Emma Swan because we never talked about changing our names. So, it'll be cool that you're going to be Regina Swan." She said. I laughed lightly and nodded. "Alright. Well, how about, I go change my name at the sheriff station, then come back." I said. She smiled and nodded. "I'll be here." She said. I nodded and kissed her. "Wait." Emma said as I walked to the closet. "Yes?" I asked. "Did you ever have your name changed?" She asked. I shook my head no. "Why don't you change it to Swan-Mills. Then, I'll change mine to Swan-Mills. Then, we'll have baby Swan-Mills. And we'll be the Swan-Mills family. Officially." She said with a big smile. "Are you sure?" I asked. She nodded. "Okay. I love you." I said as I pulled out an outfit. She smiled and nodded. "I love you too." She said. I smiled. I pulled off my pajamas, then pulled on the black pencil skirt. I put on my burgundy blouse and tucked it into my skirt. I then put on my black pumps, then put on my coat. I kissed Emma lightly and she smiled. "I'll be back soon dear." I said. She nodded. "Don't be too long." She said. I laughed. "I won't dear." I said and walked out of the room, grabbing my purse on the way out. I walked down the stairs and to Emma's car. I've gotten used to her car. I pulled out and drove towards the sheriff station. I got out and David was standing outside. "Morning." I said. It's only about 11:30. He smiled. "What brings you here?" He asked. "Uh, I need to change my name." I said. He sighed. "They've moved that. Now you have to go through Town Hall and do it." he said. I raised an eyebrow. "Okay then.." I said and got back to the car. I drove to Town Hall and got out. I sighed and walked in. I smiled at the receptionist. "May I help you?" She asked. "Yes.. I uh.. Need to see the mayor." I said. She nodded. She picked up her phone. "Hello, yes, Regina Mills is here to see you." She said. She hung up. "Go on in." She said and pointed to the door. I nodded and walked to the office. I took a deep breath and opened the door. "Hello. How can I help you Regina?" Snow asked and smiled. "Uh, I need to change my name." I said. She nodded and handed me a few papers. After 45 minutes, I had everything filled out. "Congratulations Mrs. Swan-Mills." She said with a smile. I smiled. "Will Emma be coming in too?" She asked. I began getting nervous. I raised an eyebrow. "Uh... She's not back yet.. Is she. I jumped to a conclusion. I'm sorry." She said. I shook my head. "It's fine." I said. "So, after 9 months of marriage, you change your name." She said. I nodded. "Yeah. Just never had time." I said. She smiled and nodded. "So, Blue told me you talked to Emma this morning?" She asked. "I did." I said. She smiled. "How is she doing?" She asked. "Very good." I said. She smiled and nodded. "Well, Regina, would you like to come over for dinner tonight?" She asked. My eyes went wide. "Uh.. I can't. I'm sorry. I have plans." I said. She raised an eyebrow and leaned against her elbows. "Plans, huh?" She asked. I swallowed heavily and nodded. I couldn't give away that Emma was home. Not yet anyways. "So, what are your plans?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. I cleared my throat. "I'm going out with Zelena." I said. She nodded. "So, I could call her and she'd confirm?" She asked. I nodded. She smiled and stood up. She left the office. I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed her number. "Hello?" She asked. "Quick! Snow's going to call you! Tell her we have plans tonight!" I said and hung up. Snow walked back in and sat at her desk with a smug smile on her lips. "So, if you had plans with Zelena tonight, why'd you have to call her and tell her to confirm?" She asked. I began blushing. "What are your actual plans." She said. "None of your business." I said and walked out. I got in the car and drove home. I parked and got out. I walked inside and closed the door. "Em?" I called out. No answer. I raised an eyebrow. "Emma?" I called out again. I walked up the stairs and to our room. Emma was in bed, asleep. I smiled at the sleeping woman. I walked over to Emma and leaned over her. I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and began to move. Then, she grabbed my wrist. "Come back to bed hun." She said and looked at me. I smiled. "Emma... It's 12:30." I said. She looked up at me. "Can we at least watch Friends?" She asked and sat up. "Sure darling." I said. "Ooh ooh, can we go to the family room and watch it?" She asked. I chuckled and nodded. She got up and changed into jeans and a hoodie, then ran downstairs. I laughed, then took off my coat and hung it up. I took my shoes off and set them in the closet. I walked downstairs and met Emma in the family room. She was laying on the couch. So, I walked to the other couch and started to sit down. "What are you doing?" She asked and looked at me. "You're laying on the couch." I said. She sat up and leaned against the armrest. She smiled at me. "Come lay with me." She said. I smiled and walked over to her. She pulled me down so I was sitting on her lap. I leaned against her and she kissed my cheek. "Why didn't you change into some pajamas or something?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around my waist. "Because." I said. "But a skirt and a blouse?" She said. I chuckled. "I was already dressed." I said. "Mm okay." She said and kissed my cheek again. We laid there on the couch together watching Friends for hours. I looked at the clock on the tv. "Em... It's 8 o'clock." I said. "Really?" She asked. I nodded. "Want me to order a pizza?" I asked. "Ooh yeah. I missed pizza." She said. I chuckled and grabbed my phone. "Hello?" The guy asked. "Hey, can I have a large cheese pizza?" I asked. "Sure. Name and address." He said. "Regina Swan-Mills, 108 Mifflin Street." I said. "Alright. Be there in 30 or less." He said and hung up. I put my phone back on the coffee table and Emma smiled. "You haven't eaten pizza since I've been gone. Have you." She said with a smug grin. I smiled. "No." I said. She laughed and kissed my head. I smiled and went back to watching Friends. When the doorbell rang, Emma sighed. "That means you have to get upppp." Emma whined. I chuckled and stood up. I walked to the front door and opened it. The guy smiled at me. "Here." I said and handed him a 10. "Keep the change." I said and took the pizza. He smiled. "Thanks." He said and walked away. I closed the door and took the pizza to the kitchen. I felt two arms snake around my waist and I smiled. I turned around in the arms and smiled at the blonde. She leaned in and kissed me lightly. She pulled away and I smiled a little. "I love you." She said in a quiet voice. "I love you too." I said and kissed her again. We both grabbed some pizza, then went back to watching Friends.
*Snow's POV*
Damn it Regina. I will find out what you're 'plans' are. "Hey, Hen. What's up?" I asked as he walked into the apartment. "Nothing." He said. "So, what was your mom up to tonight?" I asked. He smiled. "I bet you'd like to know." He said. I raised an eyebrow. "Henry Swan-Mills. If your mother is doing anything romantic, you better tell me." I said and pointed a finger at him. He just smiled. "You're so stubborn." I said. "Just like Ma." He said. I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to intimidate him. "I'm not telling you mom's plans." He said. I rolled my eyes. Guess I'm going to go over to her house after he's in bed. *time lapse* "goodnight Henry. I'll see you tomorrow morning." I said and turned the light off. It's midnight. Henry had stayed up late with David. David was already asleep, so I quickly walked to the door and slipped out, unnoticed. I ran to Regina's house and looked around. I tried the front door and it was locked. Of course. I ran around to the back and tried the back door. Locked. I quickly picked the lock and slipped in, closing the door quietly behind me. Then, I heard something that made my blood boil. Regina moaning. Quite loudly. Then I heard "yes! Yes! Harder!" That little bitch is up there cheating on my daughter. Then, I heard another voice. Low and raspy. A woman. She's with another woman? Why the hell would she cheat on her wife? I'm going to fucking kill that bitch. I quickly ran to the front door, opened it and slammed it shut. Making it seem like it was unlocked. "Regina!" I screamed.
*Regina's POV*
"Regina!" I heard an angry voice scream. Emma had just 'finished' and we both sat up. She looked at me. "I'll be back darling..." I said. I stood up, wrapping myself in a blanket because I couldn't find my robe. I walked down the stairs, still a little weak from the 'encounter' that just occurred. "S-Snow." I stuttered. "W-what are you doing here?" I asked. She looked angry as hell. "Who is she?" She spit. My eyes went wide. "Pardon?" I asked. "That little whore up there? That you're cheating on your wife with?" She spit again. "What?" I asked. "Regina, I heard you moaning. I heard you screaming 'harder'. I heard the raspy voice. Who is she?" She practically screamed. "I- I don't know what you're talking about. I would never cheat on Emma." I said. She rolled her eyes. "Stop lying. I'm not deaf." She said. "Hold on. How'd you get in here? We locked the doors." I said and raised an eyebrow. She paled immediately. "You broke into your daughter and i's home? Really?" I spit. She shifted awkwardly. "I'm going to find out who that whore is!" She spit. "For crying out loud! It's Emma! Okay? Are you happy now?! She got home late last night and she was getting me pregnant! Are you fucking happy now?!" I screamed. She turned as pale as a ghost. "You mean... Emma's back.." She said. "Yes. We wanted time alone before everyone freaked over her being back." I spit. "I'm so sorry." She said. "Get out." I said. She nodded and left. I walked upstairs and looked at Emma. "I heard all of it..." She said quietly. I climbed back in bed and put the blanket back over us. "I'm sorry." I said. She chuckled. "It's okay baby. Don't worry about it. We had our day alone. You're most likely going to be pregnant. It all worked out." She said and kissed me lightly. I smiled. "I love you." I said. She smiled and kissed my cheek. "Now, let's get some sleep." I said. She nodded and we both quickly fell asleep.
