Beomgyu swung my hand in his, my clasp hung around his. We walked side by side down the sidewalk, humming as the winter air would push us around. He's been humming a soft tune every time there's silence between us, trying to relieve the tension. I wasn't a big fan of the "holding-hands-while-walking-cliche", but there was no stopping him.

These days, I find it harder to be away from Beomgyu. No, not on my own accord—but because he's been rather attached lately. He's probably aware of my quiet yet tense figure these days, considering that every time he decided to try and pull a fast argument with me, he suddenly stopped in the middle and just said "Never mind. We can talk about this later." However, he never did.

On top of that, he's been rather romantic lately, trying to keep me around with his arm around my waist as well as kissing me more. He demanded kisses, hugs, and sweet words—but I can only give him two out of the three. There's no reason to have been sugarcoating things when I planned to run away from him and break his heart. I shouldn't give people false hope.

"I love you," He suddenly said as I continued to stare into outer space. In the corner of my eye, I saw his pout turn into a frown, his grip around me tightening softly. I almost smiled—I almost gave in to his love when I'm not supposed to. I continued to walk when I felt a small pull on my hand, stopping me from going any further. He took a few steps in front of me, spinning around to face me. "Hey, I said I love you!"

"Yeah, yeah," I nodded, trying to show the happy glimpse in my eye by widening them a bit. I gave his hand a tight squeeze, trying to move past him—but the boy stopped me short with a hurt look on his face. Again, I can't just give him false hope. So, I raised my eyebrow at him, looking up to meet his eyes. "What?"

"Say it back, please~" He whined, my lips pressed together in an attempt to control myself from being cute with him. I had to lose interest in him. I'd have to insult the crap out of him, but that's the last thing I want. Hopefully, before I'd have to resort to those measures, I'd already given myself enough time to move on. "Please, Yihwa?"
