"A flood warning?" Rocky gasped, with a horrified look. Just hearing those words sent a shiver down the mixed breed's back.

"I'm afraid so." Ryder replied, worriedly. "Since Adventure Bay is mostly surrounded by water, this is a big deal. We need to be at the ready to help out those in need as much as we can." He explained, before placing a hand to his forehead. "But with Chase missing at a time like this we have an even bigger problem. We need to find him and make sure he's safe. While I have some of you scouting the town, I'll have some of you looking for Chase." Ryder made a few taps on his Pup-pad. "Zuma and Everest, you two pair up and take Zuma's hovercraft. Rocky and Rubble, you two take Rocky's truck. With its new tug boat feature it should be easy to navigate if the flood waters rise too high. Skye and Marshall, you two pair up and use the copter to search for Chase. We need to ensure his safety. Does anyone here have any idea at all where Chase might have gone?" He asked.

"Well... when Chase left the beach, he left his cruiser behind." Marshall said.

"Why would he leave his cruiser behind?" Ryder said. "It just doesn't make sense." He said, while making a few more taps on his pad. "I've got a lock on Chase's Pup-tag. I'll upload the coordinates into your copter, Skye." He said. He then tried dialing Chase.

Everyone awaited for Chase to pick up and answer, but moments passed without a sound.

"It's strange that Chase isn't answering..." Ryder said, as he ended the call. Marshall couldn't help but hold a look of guilt on his face to which Skye noticed.

Something isn't adding up here. She thought to herself. She was sure that when Chase had left, that he was heading to be with Marshall, so why would he just show up to the beach and leave?

The rain was starting to lightly fall now. Chase could feel each drop pat his fur as he made his way deeper into the thick forest, making him wetter with each drop. Moments in the rain passed before Chase made his way into a dark empty cave to take shelter. He shook his fur dry and slouched his back against the cave walls.

"Marshall..." He raised his paw and placed it on the part of his face where Marshall had smacked him. "I deserve this." He said. What kind of mate could I be to him... if I couldn't even be a good friend. Chase thought back to the moment when Marshall had confessed his feelings. He thought about what it was like seeing the dally so sad and broken, while he just enjoyed his new relationship with Skye.

"Just forget it! Forget this whole conversation! I knew it was a mistake to try and tell you... it was stupid of me to even try! Marshall ran past Chase with his head down, tears freely falling.

Marshall... you can't be serious. Chase thought to himself. I'm sure he'll get over it. He's known that I've been into Skye for a while now. Chase let out a deep sigh. He pushed these thoughts aside as he exited the playroom and made his way to Skye's Pup-house. Beads of sweat started to form on his face now. He swallowed hard before raising his paw and knocking on her door.

"Who is it?" Skye asked in a chipper tone.

"It's C-Chase..." He answered. "Can I C-Come in for a sec? There's something I need to talk to you about."

"Chase, don't you know it's inappropriate to enter a girls room?" She giggled.

"I-I-I..." Chase began to stutter and sweat a bit. Skye opened the door and greeted him with a playful smile.

"I'm just teasing, silly. Come on in" Chase felt as though he was about to pass out from the amount of nervousness he was feeling.

He entered Skye's Pup-house slowly. The room was full of pink, unsurprisingly. There were a few photos of the team hung along the walls, a fuzzy pink rug on the floor, and a nice fluffy pup bed big enough for two. Skye motioned for Chase to sit with her on the bed and Chase took another nervous swallow before making his way over. Skye finally caught wind of how nervous he was and wondered if he was ok.
