Aurora could remember vividly her torture in the Silver City. Could remember the flashes of memories she would endure, the sweet memories that would become twisted into nightmares. She would be dancing with someone. Her dance partner had no face, and she would sing a sweet melody as they danced. But when she would dare to look into her partner's eyes at the end, she was greeted by a twisted and contorted face, a gaping hole that threatened to steal away her soul. She would wake often from that dream in tears. She remembered she wanted to yell out a name, but she couldn't recall it. She panicked. She knew she had lost her memory. She had run crying to her father, pleading with him to save her from this form of torture, but he would merely pat her on the head, tell her it was just a bad dream, and tell her to return to bed. Aurora felt like she was falling so often. The night mares became so bad she would refuse to sleep at night. So her father sent her off to the reaper realm for some time. She remembered reading through the records in that library, her beloved Uncle William coming over to gently rub her head comfortingly, and leave her with a cup of tea and plate of cookies before returning to his work.

Aurora would find herself singing to herself in the library, dancing gracefully across the linoleum floors. A few times, she would have sworn she felt someone's arm around her waist, supporting her, and a hand lace together with her own. But when she looked, there was no one there. She would eventually return home to the Silver City. Where the days went by slowly, the weeks even slower, the months lasting for what felt like years, and years feeling like eternity.

Meanwhile, the demon who had stolen her heart rested in his room in Hell. He was moving around more normally now, the time of his brutal beating had passed a few years ago. He didn't know how long exactly. Time passed differently in the realms of Heaven, Earth, and Hell. In the world of reapers, time had no meaning at all. Malphas Desideriis stood on his balcony, overlooking the Hellscape. He was the new Lord of Desideriis. He bore a grudge. He was a mess. His brother and sister worried for him, his parents, ever absent, were not there to scold him or aide him. He wanted revenge. His lover had lied to him. She was just another angel. She lied. She sent him to his death. He left his chambers, marching through the halls of Castle Desideriis, Stolas and Ilia poked their heads out of their rooms. "Brother Corvus!" Ilia called, "Where are you going? You are still weak!" Stolas rushed out to stop his brother, "Stop brethren! Let us help you!" Malphas snarled and slashed his demonic talons at them. "Enough! I need no help from you! I am your Lord! I make the orders around here!" Stolas and Ilia watched him with upset looks on their faces.

The demon lord made his way to the throne room, his siblings in tow as he snarled, a slight limp in his step. "I'm going to murder that angel! I'm going to find her and paint her body with a canvas of wounds! Then I'm going to steal her wretched soul! Like I should have done when I met her!" Ilia frowned and ran over, grabbing him by his shoulders, "Brother- please, think this through. You are angry. A war is not what we need." Malphas roared, "War?! You dare speak of a war?! No, Sister! This is not war! This is a personal vendetta! I am going to claw my way up to the Heavens and eviscerate her myself!" Ilia took a few steps away, slightly frightened. The door opened to the throne room and Ilia brightened, "Lilli! My good friend, you are here!" Ilia rushed over to embrace the other demoness. Lilli laughed, "Yes, you asked me to retrieve you on my next assignment. I am to go to the human realm." She looked at the lord on the throne and bowed, "Lord Malphas. A pleasure." Malphas sneered, "What brings you here, Lilum?" Lilli frowned, "Forgive me my lord. The lady had asked I fetch her upon my next journey to earth." Malphas's gaze turned to his sister. "Why do you wish to journey to the human realm?" Ilia shifted uncomfortably. "I was going to see if I could find the angel for you brethren." She confessed, "I cannot bear to see you so down trodden." Malphas snarled, standing from his throne, "You will not do anything of the sort. I will retrieve the angel. I will do it alone." Stolas looked concerned, "But Brother Corvus! You are still wounded!" Malphas snarled, "I will take the one from the Lilum with me then!" He snapped, "Come! Follow your lord!" He brushed past his sister and her friend and out the doors of the castle. Lilli came after him, glaring at him coldly. "With all due respect, my lord. Your sister only wishes for you to be happy again." Malphas snarled, "Silence. You are only here because my siblings would summon the King if I left without an escort." Lilli fell quiet, following him into the human world.
