Many years ago...

Lucia Laverne-Magné was in the Silver City, her eyes watching her young daughter who was in her toddler years, having recently progressed from infancy. In the few short years she had been with her husband after the birth of their daughter, she had learned not all the Silver City was accepting of the young Arch's wife and child. A Fallen in the Silver City was unheard of. An Arch and Fallen hybrid angel was impossible, and the very idea struck fear into the hearts of others. Michael of course had not been... the most... present parent.

He was often away on business. He'd barely been around Angelica the first few years. Lucia should have known there would be issues when he had even been absent from her birth, only appearing at the last moment to hold his daughter.

At first he had been worried, maybe even a little horrified, Lucia had not been blind to the fear in his eyes when he noticed the child's eyes would darken from silver, starry blue, to a bleak, dark, grey when her mood changed. Lucia had cared for their only daughter alone while he was away. And now, as she stood near the small space where children were playing, she noticed the mother's direct their young away from her own.

It had made her wonder, would her daughter be better off in Hell? Of course- Lucia knew Heaven was by far much safer. But socially, she could not guarantee her child would have many friends. In Hell, where she had often frequented, demons were impartial. They cared little if one was Fallen.

Lucia's heart broke as she saw her daughter's face fall. None of the other children would play with her. Lucia's daughter looked just like her father, Lucia didn't understand why she was rejected. But then she noticed the looks she received from the others. And then she understood.

She had stood angrily, dark wings flapping angrily and she called out to her daughter. "Angelica! Angelica, come! It is time to return home, little one!" Angelica nodded and ran into her mother's arms, hugging her tightly and crying softly while her mother flew them home.

"Ah! You are both back!" Michael Laverne said as they reentered the manor. His face fell when he saw his upset wife and daughter. "Hey... What's the matter?" Lucia looked down at her daughter, "Angelica... Go to your room, little dove. Mommy and daddy need to talk." Angelica pouted, "But I wanted to say hi to papa!" Michael chuckled and ruffled her hair. "We can play a game in a bit, dove. Let the grown ups talk for now." Angelica smiled brightly,

"Yes, papa!"

The little girl rushed off and Michael frowned at his wife, "What happened?" Lucia sighed. "You are gone far to often. You don't see her. You don't see what happens when ever I take her to play!" Michael looked concerned, "Hon, what's wrong?" Lucia looked at him, "I- I don't think Heaven is the right place for Angelica to grow up." Michael looked alarmed. "What?!" He snarled then, "You want to take my daughter away from me?!"

Lucia hissed, "No! Not at all! She has no friends! The other angels do not want her playing with their own! All because she is a half breed! Half Fallen, Half Arch! Such a combination is an abomination to them! She will never be treated normally, Michael! You need to understand that! In Hell- they are impartial to Fallen!" Michael roared, "But she is also an Arch! She is my daughter!"
