Right person, right time

New girl

"Addie you ready for your first day back at work" Meredith called for Addison who as per normal was taking forever to get dressed

"I'll be just a minute Mer baby" Addison replied as she was quickly touching up her makeup and flattening her skirt.

Addison walked down the stairs so greet Meredith who pulled her into a hug before pecking her on the lips

"Ready to go honey"
"Ready as I'll ever be Mer baby"

The two got into the car, Meredith drove and Addison was in the passenger seat

When the arrived at the hospital Richard and Miranda greeted them warmly giving sending Meredith off to the pit. Addison was assured she would either be working with or close by to Meredith in case of emergency before Addison scurried to the pit to where she was needed due to the massive bus crash.

"30 week pregnant woman in bed 3 Addison go" Owen hunt barked at Addison

Addison was assessing the situation and decided this woman needed an emergency c section

"Call the OR tell them we are coming, let's move people" Addison yelled at various interns and residents

Finally Addisons surgery was complete minimal complications arose so she returned to the pit to help out yet again.

"Sutures in bed 1 Addison" April called

Addison huffed under her breath because this was interns work and she knew this but nevertheless decided to help whom ever was behind the curtain.

"Hello I'm doctor Montgomery I'm here to stitch you up" Addison looked up from the chart to see a very run down looking girl

She had long dark brown hair that was all matted and clearly hadn't been looked after in a long long time. Her eyes were almost black looking trying to hide a lot of pain and suffering in which Addison could sympathise with. Her clothes were dirty and very old, her garments were filled with holes the only thing really keeping her warm was the leather jacket she had loosely hung round her awfully thin skeletal body. Finally her peaky white skin was evident the girl looked very unwell indeed which broke Addisons heart.
Addison pulled herself together though for the broken girl in front of her.

"Where have you cut yourself?" Addison asked the girl sitting timidly in front of her.

"I em it's it's fine em I shouldn't have come here" the girl started to cry and she tried to leave before Addison caught her wrist. The girl curled back pulling her wrist out of Addisons grip wincing in pain before blood started staining her long sleeve shirt.

"Honey sit down for me I need to check your arms" Addison tried with the girl and a surprisingly she got back into the bed and Addison managed to roll her sleeve and she realised what she was dealing with.

A self harmer. These injuries were self inflicted.

"Okay em" Addison paused she didn't know the girls name

"Mollie" the girl whispered tearfully

"Okay mollie I'm just going to give you a numbing injection to help with the pain alright sweetie"

"No please no needles please I'm begging you" the girl started thrashing about

Addison was quick to think she pulled the thrashing girl into a hug, stroking her hair and slowly bringing the girl down from her panicked state.

"Okay Mollie it's just going to be a quick pinch" the girl nodded shyly letting Addison stitch her up.

Once Addison was finished she sat down infront of the girl and started speaking about her plan of care she had in place
