Her fathers snores rumbled within the house but soon quieted as he awoke from his slumber. Abigail held the blanket closer to her and hid under it as her door was opened.
Her wooden floor creaked under the pressure of his feet.
A loud sigh went through the room and her father left the room before closing the door.
Her brows furrowed in confusion.
Nothing? No yelling or screaming? No slaps or punches? Nothing.
It seems that her father was in one of his moods again. Upset about his wife who had died in a car when Abigail was just a baby.The next morning they would both be moving again to a small town in Wisconsin, US.
