I week before Amber's birthday.

Ambers POV

"Come on," Kellan urged.

"No, there's nothing you can say to change my mind," I crossed my arms over my chest.

"For me?" He asked pleading with his eyes.

"Definitely...not," I smirked when his eyes lost hope.

"Amber you only turn sixteen once, why not have a party?"

"Because I just don't do parties. I've never been to any, and no one would go to mine. So I don't see the point in hosting a party," I shrugged it off.

"But-"

"Kellan it's ok I don't need a party," I tried convicting him.

If you don't know by now, Kellan is trying to convince me to have a party for my sixteenth birthday.

"Are you sure? This is a one in a life time thing."

"Yeah I'm sure, now let's go, I want to go home," I whined.

"For a kiss?" He asked.

I felt my cheeks warm as I blushed.

This whole week Kellan and I have gotten closer. It's as if I knew him my whole life.

"Hmmm..." I tapped my chin.

"No," I said bluntly.

"Why," he whined.

"Because your whining like a wittle baby," I told him using a baby tone.

"Please?" he asked.

"I don't know why your asking."

His eyes lit up and he moved closer to me.

When he was about an inch away, I ran away to his car.

I giggled when I saw him chasing me.

"Amber!" He screamed with so much power, even though I don't think he meant it, I was forced to stop and bow my head.

My hands were twitching and I kept my eyes on the ground as he approached me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he wrapped me up in a bear hug.

"C-can't breathe," I choked out.

"Too bad."

Man this kid is strong. I swear he could suffocate someone just by hugging someone. Which was happening to me right now.

After a minute of trying to breathe he let me go and grabbed my hand as he led me to his car.

"Kellan, what else are you guys hiding from me?"

"I don't know what you mean," he smiled at me.

The way he smiled made me believe otherwise.

"Then why are you all so secretive?"

He never answered while he turned on the radio and found something good to listen to.

When, 'High' by Tove Lo came on, he turned it up.

"This is a good song," he changed the subject.

"Kellan," I warned.

"Amber," he said in the same tone, mocking me.

I huffed and looked out the window.

I could tell he was upset about this.

What are they keeping from me?
