It was March and Seungmin
and Hyunjin were preparing for
a longer or shorter visit to the younger's hometown.

They didn't know how everything would go, if everyone would be happy to see them or if it'd be too stressful for Seungmin, so they decided to keep the option of going back to the cottage, better be safe than sorry.

Also what would the king say once
he saw his son pregnant and mated
to another alpha who was obviously not Xiaoji?

There was no place where they
could stay if not in the mansion so Seungmin had already prepared himself mentally to just return to
the little cottage he loved so much,
his newfound home.

He had also prepared himself for
the possible two times they'd have
to run that way and he wasn't
very happy about it.

Being four months pregnant also meant that running wasn't his favorite thing to do anymore,
it was exhausting, he was scared
to hurt his baby and also the poor little one must feel seasick
at some point.

"Let's go Minnie-
Why aren't you wearing a shirt?"

Hyunjin chuckled seeing his
omega looking at him pouting,
his fluffy ears dropped.

"Can I wear one of your hoodies?"

"Of course baby,
no need to pout like this"

the blonde cooed as he walked
up to his mate, rubbing the little
bare bump softly and pecking the younger's lips quickly.

Seungmin pulled one of his
alpha's big cozy hoodies over,
sighing happily once the soft fabric embraced his petite frame and
tiny bump.

He took the older's hand that
was reached out and let himself
guide to their garden, locking
the door behind him.

Once the chilly air ran through
their hair, the alpha leaned down
one last time to leave a gentle kiss
on Seungmin's lips before shifting
into a purely white wolf with
ice blue eyes.

He nudged the boy's hand softly,
barking happily when his mate also shifted into his wolf form.

The red-brown wolf didn't look pregnant at all, you could only tell if you knew it because Seungmin still
had very thick winter fur.

Together they made their
way through the forest,
walking side by side and
taking their time so the younger wouldn't get too tired.

Although the spring was already announcing itself with a few small early bloomers peeking through the remaining islands of snow, the forest still looked quite empty and lifeless.

The trees were still so colorless,
there were barely any leaves out and the bushes also looked mostly bald.

Hyunjin missed the way the
forest looked in the summer,
everything was green and smelling great, everything was so full of life and you felt so safe hidden in
this maze of plants.

Once they passed another
meadow and also left the little
lake behind them, they finally reached a small hill from where
you had a great view over the
small town and the mansion
near the river.

Seungmin shifted back into his human form, a smile immediately blooming on his face as he felt his hand getting held by a big warm one,
the calming lavender scent of his mate surrounding him.

"So this is your kingdom, huh?"

"Jinnie~
I'm not the king,
I'm only the prince.
Also the kingdom is much
bigger than this"

The brunette muttered the last part,
hoping his mate hadn't heard him.

And the blonde didn't,
he was too mesmerized by the
small houses in the valley,
the large green garden and
the beautiful mansion.

"You see the little cream-colored two level house at the end of that street?"

"That with the white sign?"

"Yes.
That's Minho's cafe."

Hyunjin smiled softly when
he looked at his mate,
the omega's eyes were
sparkling just thinking about
finally seeing his best friend again.

"Do you want to go there first?
Or see Felix?"

"And I thought he'd want to
see his alpha first"

a voice suddenly spoke behind them,
Seungmin's grip immediately tightening on his mate's hand as
he felt his eyes getting glossy.

A growl escaped Hyunjin as
he turned around, hiding his
scared omega behind him.

Xiaoji's gaze fell on the shaking brunette, his eyes immediately noticing the little bump the omega tried to hide with his arms.

"I see, our baby is growing well"

the  alpha smirked, stepping
closer which led to Hyunjin just growling louder.

"Fuck off!
You're not his alpha nor are
you the father of the baby!"

"And who are you to decide that, huh?

One of this filthy omega's alphas
he used to satisfy himself with?"

Xiaoji pointed at Seungmin
with a glint of disgust in his eyes.

"That's it, I'll kill you."
