After six hours and having her code twice Mora was out of surgery. The bullet had skimmed a few vital organs but with the silver collar on it stopped her wolf's healing abilities. The bullet had also been silver which did not help so now she would be healing slower.

Shaw was just waiting for her to wake up so they could leave. His brother had not come back and he sent half the warriors and Jacob back. He wanted to get out of here as soon as possible and try and ease most of the tension. That hope did not last long when an older couple came into Mora's room.

He barely restrained himself from snarling at the two people that created him. They were both posh looking people and the four warriors with him couldn't help but look at the stark difference between Shaw and his parents.

His mother held a disdainful look when she looked at Mora while his father looked angered. "How dare you threaten this pack and your brother over some feral bitch that should've been put down at birth." His father snarled and Shaw responded with an angry growl that had their eyes widening.

"Say one more fucking word about my mate and I will have no qualms making myself and that whiny excuse of a brother orphans. Get the fuck out of this room and stay the fuck away from my mate and I. We will be leaving as soon as she wakes up." He told them and both their eyes narrowed.

"Its no wonder you gave up the alpha position to your brother. She would've never been fit to be a Luna and you are clearly blinded by that murderous pussy to think straight. You would've driven this pack into the ground. Don't come crying to us when she slaughters your entire pack." His mother spoke and he turned to lunge when a hand gripped his wrist.

Sparks shot up his arm and his head instantly snapped to Mora. Her red eyes were already on him and he instantly relaxed seeing her awake. She tried to sit up and he helped her as she cocked her head and stared at his parents.

They looked at her with so much hatred but she didn't even flinch. "Now that is where you are wrong. Shaw would be an excellent Alpha, he is a strong and kind male whose almost as protective as myself. We also have yet to mate as we keep getting interrupted but don't worry I will have him wrapped around my, as you put it, 'murderous pussy' soon enough. But it seems your other son is still wrapped around your tit. Don't come crying to us when this pack falls on its face and you need help. Don't want to chance me murdering all of your people in a bloodlust fueled attack now do we?"

Shaw couldn't help but smirk and chuckle as did their warriors. His father went to speak but she cut him off. "I do however need to thank you for giving birth to such an amazing son. Although it is questionable on how he came from two arrogant, bitter and hateful people. Not to worry I will send some of my warrior tournament winnings over once we return and pay for the supplies and time your doctors spent saving my life. Wouldn't want to be indebt to people like you or risk having to see you again."

She then turned to Shaw and her lips quirked up the first emotion she showed since she woke up. "Can we leave I want to go back home and check on the kids, especially Hannah?"

"Kids?!" His mother sputtered.

"Yes, my wonderful mate rescued over 50 ferals who were in a sort of trafficking ring. She has been taking care of them and training them. They listen to her as one would an Alpha. She also got them to respect all the higher ups Bo included." Shaw told them as he helped Mora swing her legs off the bed.

His parents were shocked at this Shaw just glanced over his shoulder giving them a neutral look. "Do you mind? My mate would like to get dressed and leave. I wish I could say it was good to see you but we know I could've gone the rest of my life without seeing you again."
