CHAPTER TWO: THE FIRST PAGE

Lilia stands in a vast plain full of different flowers.

Flowers of different hues shine vividly under the bright sun, they dancing through the waves of the breeze as their scent was spread out in the air. The place where he was standing, was far from the NRC. No one knew about it, other than him and Maleficent.

He hummed, feeling the touch of the warm breeze on his face and blowing gently his duo colored hair. The nostalgia feeling hit him without deviation, as the precious memories stir up.

...

In the heart of the forest, a young man could be seen picking some wild edible berries he could find.

The sun shines above, lighting down the earth's landscapes. The chirps of birds and the sound of the crickets filled the forest. The young man's sandals stepping on the ground mixed with the grass and dead leaves, creating crunching sounds.

The small basket on his slightly scarred hand was filled with a variety of food he could find in the forest. Turning around, feeling satisfied with what he found, he then went to the way where the river was.

A moment passed of walking, accompanied by a brown-furred bunny along the way, he finally arrived. He then instantly takes a breath of the air and exhaled with an endearing smile. He crouched down and began to wash the food he gathered.

"Hmm?"

His brows scrunch up when he noticed something's washed up on the riverbank. Upon realizing that it was a body which he quickly slipped off his sandals and stood up. "You should stay here, bunny." He mumbled at the small animal who stared at him, watching him quickly swim closer at someone's body.

Getting closer, the young man quickly grab their waist and swam to where the bunny and the basket of food he had gathered was. Laying the figure down on the pebble ground and began to perform a CPR that he learned on one of his treasured books.

Not long after, they coughed out water, passing out completely. He sighed in relief when he saw their chest heave up and down slowly. He sat up, taking a little rest after what just happened earlier.

His gaze unconsciously scanned the features of the unknown figure.

Fully taking their appearance, he recognized they're a male. He mistook them as a girl, regarding of their long black hair with pink streaks underneath the black locks and their feminine features on them.

However, the young man grew concerned by multiple bruises, wounds, and the big one on their head, along with their robe being slightly burnt and some parts getting ripped.

"He must've been went to a battle or something..." He uttered, before glancing over the bunny who was now inside the basket, curiously looking at him. He almost forgot them, poor bunny.

He carried the unconscious man, along with the basket on his hand, deciding to head back on his small cottage.
