5 - Min Yoongi

Mija's P.O.V.

The day after I found out who the mystery guy was from the party, I went to visit the room that he was in the previous day and sure enough he was there. I came prepared that time though so he wouldn't discover me again, so I wore wedges so I could look through the window.

It's been almost 2 weeks now since then and almost everyday during practice hours, I would sit beside his door and listen to him play.

No, I'm not a stalker. I just loved the way he played.

Today was a bit different though; we didn't have practice. Instead every music major and minor who were in the orchestra and band were instructed to meet in the auditorium for an announcement.

I could hear everyone talking amongst themselves wondering what the professor was going to announce. I took the time to look around at everyone who was here.

As I'm looking around, I realized how many more people there were. But as I kept looking, someone caught my attention and I couldn't help but smile.

It was the black haired piano guy.

After some time the professor walks on stage and we all start to greet him.

"I'm glad that you're all here today. I know that this meeting was last minute, but I couldn't wait to tell you all tomorrow, so please forgive me."

At the same time, but a little out of unison, we told the professor that it was fine.

"Anyways, I won't take too much of your time, so I'll get to the point. I have a fun project for you all that I know you will enjoy. You will be working in pairs of 2 for this; all majors will be helping and partnering up with the minors that we have."

A project with a partner? This should be interesting.

"Now there aren't enough minors for every major, so some majors will be working with other fellow majors. For this project you and your partner will team up together to either compose or find a duet according to your instruments. The team with the best duet will perform it at our upcoming concert."

Everyone started getting excited, but especially since they were going to be picking their partners.

Or so we thought.

"The catch is that I will be assigning your partners that I have planned out carefully."

And now everyone was no longer that excited. I, on the other hand, didn't mind it. I haven't had the chance to get close to anyone from the music department, so I was looking forward to getting close with someone who shares the same passion as me.

The professor started reading off the list of whoever was going to be working with who. I hoped that I would possibly be paired up with another fellow flute player or even a string player. But as he started pairing everyone up, all the string and other flute players were already paired up with someone.

Ok...well maybe even an oboe player.

But they were all paired up with someone.

Maybe clarinet...

All paired up.

French horn?...

Haha yea no.

He was nearing the end of the list and only a few people were left.

"So Mija and Min Yoongi."

Min Yoongi? Who the heck was that?...

As soon as he finished pairing everyone up, everyone got out of their chair and went to find their partners. Since I had no idea who mine was, I decided to go ask.

"Mija! What can I do for you?" He gives me a warm smile and I smile back.

"I got paired with Min Yoongi, but I have no idea who that even is? Can you tell me who-..."

"I'm Min Yoongi." A voice from behind me emerges.

I quickly turned around and came face to face with none other than the black haired piano guy.

He had no emotion on his face whatsoever and just looked at me as I did the same. I was shocked to say the least to be paired up with him out of everyone.

Soon a smile creeps onto my face and I couldn't help but smile knowing that I'll finally get close to the mysterious guy who also slammed a door in my face.
