JENNIE'S POV

Lunchtime has come

I brought lunch today because I always do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I thought it wouldn't be fair to neglect the school's food. They might get jealous

If you must know, which you probably don't but I will say anyway. My morning classes were alright. A few stares here and there but people would rather focus on listening to the teachers than me. In AP class, nothing is more important than school work so rumors that may or may not truly be way below their priority

I met up with my friends in the middle of the cafeteria again. Unfortunately, Lisa didn't have the same classes as me so far, but 5th and 6th periods were still a possibility

"So what's it like living with Lisa?" Chaeyoung asked as she took a bite of her authentic, rich-looking french cuisine. I still have no clue how she's able to make it look like it wasn't thrown across the room when it's all stuffed in her backpack. "Jesus, I hope she didn't hurt you again. I'm sorry you have to deal with her"

Jisoo nodded, "Hey if she's giving you any problems, we'll show her the true meaning of a Queen Bee at this school" she unnecessarily flipped her black hair to add emphasis on her 'Queen Bee' look

I shook my head but appreciate the unneeded offer anyways. "It's fine, guys. It's like living with a moody monkey" I explained as simply as I could. Or maybe Lisa's more of an aggressive dog. but I think dogs do more biting while monkey swipe which is what she tech did last night with my food offering

I'm still rather upset about that, but I'll let it slide

"Why is she living with you?" Jisoo interrogated further

I shrugged. "I don't know. Something to do with her parents and a certain incident last school year" I twirled my spork around, "She doesn't incline in telling me the whole story so that's why"

I looked up to see if I can find a familiar head with brown curly hair and a scowling face wandering the lunch hall. I frowned when I don't see any. She either does not have Lunch B, or she's eating in a bathroom stall. I wouldn't blame her if she was. You get free napkins there and personal tiny trash can glued onto the wall. You don't even have to move anywhere if you need to do your business

Maybe I should start eating in the bathroom stalls too. This school's restrooms are so clean as a room that's been sterilized a million times, anyways

"And she's not that bad" I added. "I like her temper"

I smiled, remembering when she towered over me with intimidation. What a fun time that was

For some odd reason, Chaeyoung Express turned grim

"You don't actually...' like' her, do you?"

I stopped smiling and tilted my head, taken aback by her question. "What?"

"Lisa" Chaeyoung emphasized. "You only like her temper, right? Not like, actually like her or have some sort of affection towards her. You just find her entertaining, is all"

I thought about it for a second and nodded my head. slowly. And confused as to where this conversation was headed. And why she would say that

"Wow, Chae. What are you trying to say?" Jisoo asked

"Nothing," Chaeyoung said quickly. "I mean, yeah, it's nothing" she shook her head, shaking a thought that I did not know of. "I'm just saying that you shouldn't bother her since she's, well, you know. Dangerous?"

I internally rolled my eyes. Seriously? What does she think I've been doing? I've been giving Lisa her space this whole time. 100% not bothering her at all. If anything, her backpack would be the one bothering her the most. Always weighing her down all day. I get the same problems too sometimes, especially when I'm carrying my books to school
