JENNIE'S POV

Mothers are amazing

Did you know their sense of smell heightens during pregnancy?

Oh, and by the way, we were at the hospital

When Mother was done with her nursing shift at work this morning, she drove home and informed us of Miyeon's father at her hospital. To say the least, Lisa was shocked and I suppose it was instinctual for her to go and comfort her ex-girlfriend. It was too bad someone else already had her job

Anyways, I made sure to text my friends that I wouldn't be going to school so that they wouldn't freak out. Wherever Lisa going, I'm going

I do love the smell of hospitals, though

"O-Oh God, this is all my fault! I shouldn't-if I had just-"

"It's not your fault, Mi" the boy stranger gently rubbed her shoulder and held her tightly with a pained expression. "I'm so sorry this happened. It's my fault, okay? I made you go out with me when you had to watch him. I'm so sorry"

Bambam

"It just doesn't make any sense. H-he shouldn't have been able to find it, especially when he's drunk" Miyeon chocked, her hands covering her mouth as she sobbed

Lisa watched by the sidelines and I didn't like how tormented she looked. Every muscle on her face was strained and she looked
away, regretful

"Miyeon's dad..." Her hands were clasped tightly together, almost crushing. "Shit..."

A nurse came out of the room where Miyeon's father was residing and spotted us. When she reached where we were sitting, the nurse looked at Miyeon with a rather mixed smile

"Hello, dear. You must be Cho Miyeon" the teary girl nodded and the nurse continued, "Your father is in stable condition, now. It seems like he passed out before he was able to take a lethal amount of his prescriptions, but he still swallowed some and we've already got those out of his system" the nurse paused before offering a pitiful look. "But we may have to watch over him for a while due to his records" Miss puppy was devastated. "Your father has a history of...attempts and according to our sources, is diagnosed with clinical depression. Were you aware of this?"

"Y-Yes, I was" she wiped her tears with the back of her hand. "How long is he going to stay here?"

The nurse thinned her lips. "Do you have any other guardians who could take care of you?"

"No..." She looked so broken

I could almost see why Lisa would be compelled to come here. Why Bambam would hold Miyeon's hand so tight, so strongly, just to dispel that unbearable sadness she held over her father's accident. Just almost

"Wait, you could stay at my house" Bambam suggested. "Your brothers are already there, and I'm sure my parents would like you" at that, Lisa's jaw clenched, but she didn't say anything to that and Bambam didn't seem to notice. I did, though

Maybe Bambam's parents didn't like her

The nurse left us alone for a while and the lovely couple walked up to us. Miyeon sniffed but managed a weak smile. "Thank you for coming. It means a lot to me"

"Sure" Lisa bit her lip. "I'm sorry about your dad"

She nodded, dejected. "It's not the first time he's done this"

I offered my condolences

When Miyeon went off to talk to the nurse again, the boy whom Miyeon was dating offered me his hand in greeting. "Hey, you must be Jennie. I'm-"
