Rose groaned as Connie's mother opened the curtains ''Rise and shine! Breakfast is almost ready'' she said brightly. After two weeks of living there, she still wasn't used to be getting woken up

Rose nodded and swung her legs over the bed and got up. She wasn't the biggest fan of living with a strict Catholic family that won't let you sleep in after seven, but it would do for now

She got in the shower and then got dressed into a red polka dot crop top with a bow at the front and shorts. She brushed her hair and put on some light makeup then tying her Chuck Taylors. She grabbed her jacket and went downstairs

''Hello Rose'' Connie's father smiled ''Come and sit for breakfast. There's more than enough for everyone''

''That's very kind of you sir but I have to get to my shift. Thank you for the offer'' she lied ''I'll see you, Connie, at our appointment later''

Connie nodded and said goodbye to her. Rose quickly excused herself and began to walk down the street. Her shift doesn't start till late afternoon. She wasn't going to the Cobra's because of Ace and how they just sat and watched her get picked on

She went to the tobacco store and grabbed a pack of cigarettes, swiftly putting them in her back pocket before taking another and a lighter. She went to the cashier to pay. 'Four dollars twenty'' she said

Rose pulled out a five-dollar note and put it on the counter. The cashier went to give her the change but dropped it ''Sorry'' she mumbled and began to pick up the coins

Rose rolled her eyes. She didn't have time for this 'Christmas will be here soon' she thought. ''Here'' the cashier gave her the change ''Thanks'' Rose mumbled and walked out, passing Ace through the door

''Hey Rose'' Eyeball greeted

''C'mere! We found these car parts in the old garage we broke into'' Billy exclaimed

Rose walked past them ''Rose?'' Charlie started

''Go fuck yourselves'' she replied walking away

Rose sat on a bench, having a cigarette but looked up to see a group of girls standing over her

''Can I help you?'' she rolled her eyes

''Where's your little friends?'' one of them asked

''They left her when Ace dumped her'' another said

''Oh yeah like he didn't dump you on the first day of you dating'' Rose shot back

''You do know there's one of you and six of us, right?'' Louise asked

''Yeah, I do. It just shows that you are all just a bunch of pussies'' Rose stood up. She knew what was coming. She was going to get battered

''Shut up you, ugly piece of shit'' Louise pushed her

Rose pushed her back ''C'mon then you fucking whore!'' Rose yelled

Suddenly, she was pushed onto the ground. She screamed in agony as one of the girls stomped on her arm, another on her stomach. The blows kept on coming. Her legs, back, chest you name it. Louise grabbed her by the hair ''Your just trash'' she sneered and pushed her head onto the curb

The girls quickly left while snickering, leaving Rose on the ground. She slowly sat up, wincing in pain. She quickly went into her bag and pulled out her small mirror. She had a cut on her lip and a mark on her cheek. She looked at her arm, it was bleeding from the cuts she made the night before opened up
