Chapter 10

Molly sat in the front of the car, Klaus kept his eyes on the road, every now and again flicking his eyes to check on Molly making sure she was ok. The car ride wasn't long, Klaus pulled up outside a huge house it looked a little bit like a castle. Molly got out the car and took it all in, Klaus noticed her nervous heartbeat and crouched down next to her "this is your new home" he said with a huge grin, Molly's eyes widened "it's like a castle, are you the king?" She asked and Klaus chuckled. And nodded "in a way yes, and that makes you the princess" he said still smiling and Molly smiled back.

They entered and a group of people were all stood and sat around, most of them with glasses of whiskey. They all stopped and looked as they walked in, "Molly, this is your family" Klaus said and strolled towards them, accepting a glass of whiskey off one of them. Molly looked at them nervously as one of them approached her, "I'm Rebekah, I'm the sane one of the family" she said with a smirk, Mollys heartbeat began to increase and her eyes glowed through fear "uh Nik?" Rebekah said causing Klaus too glance over and stand up. Molly did the only thing she could think of.....run.

Klaus used his vampire speed to run after her trying to find where she went, he stopped attempting to track her scent but having no luck. He rang Derek through panic "hello?" He said answering "Derek I've lost her" Klaus said his voice laced with panic "what do you mean you lost her?" Derek answered raising his voice, "I took her to meet her family she panicked and ran off" Klaus said "I'm trying to track her but I can't make her scent out" he admitted. "I'll be there in 10 minutes" Derek said and put down the phone.

Klaus and his family kept searching for her, Dereks car pulled up and he jumped out. "Have you found her?" He said and the family shook their heads, Derek nodded "stay here" he said and ran off, he sniffed the air, immediately catching her scent. Klaus and his family watched curiously as he disappeared into the woods. "Molly? It's Derek" he called out and immediately heard a scared whimper, he followed the noise down a small ditch and behind a bush, Molly was cowered there shivering. Derek crouched down "hey it's ok it's me" he cooed softly and she immediately crawled into his arms, "what happened?" He said and she looked at him, "its too different" she said sadly. He nodded and lifted her up and began walking back to where Klaus was impatiently waiting.

There was a huge sigh of relief when Derek was seen carrying Molly back towards the nervously waiting Mikaelson family. "You found her" Klaus said his voice full of relief she was safe, "yeah but she's not staying here tonight" Derek said causing Klaus to take a sharp intake of breath "I don't understand I thought we agreed she was staying here." Derek frowned, "she was overwhelmed tonight, we need to do this slowly if you want any chance of her trusting you" he snapped. "He's right Niklaus, we have more chance of building a relationship with her if we do it in a place where she's comfortable" Klaus' brother Elijah chimed in causing Klaus to look down and then nod.

"Come by my place tomorrow, all of you, that's where she's most comfortable you'll have more chance of talking to her then." Derek said and walked to his car, placing Molly inside and pulling her seatbelt across and clicking it in place before getting in himself and driving home.
