Luke didn't really have any new friends when he moved to his new school in year 7, then in year nine he met Calum and Michael. Michael hated him more than anything, Luke hated Michael more than anything, they pretty much just wanted to kill each other all the time, and no one knew why.
Luke was a pretty reserved person, he didn't talk much besides his group of really close friends. Luke never touched anyone, because he was scared that someone he hated was going to be his soulmate and the reason he'd finally be able to see color.
Michael was outgoing, loud, and annoying. He always got in your face but he was always really nice unless you got on his bad side. He was the same as Luke, you didn't really notice this because of how loud and talkative Michael was all the time, but he almost always had sleeves past his hands or some type of glove on his hands. Michael didn't want to find his soulmate, he just wanted to be Michael.
