I arrived at the parking lot of the soccer stadium and coaching center, the lot wasn't packed but there were quite a few cars parked, probably parents and players. Slinging my purse on a shoulder and texting Shiv about some laundry thing I get out of my car.

Popping the trunk open, I grabbed the giant variety case of Gatorade and set it down on the ground before closing the trunk and locking the car. I started making my way over to the entrance of the building when I saw a familiar brunette's head, perked up at the sound of me walking.

"HI!" He screamed as he jogged to me.

"HEY!" I screamed back, squinting from the sun and struggling to balance the case.

"I see the jersey looks fucking amazing," He pointed at my shirt.

"Yeah, well it's me wearing it so of course it looks fucking amazing." I scoffed.

"Here let me help with that," With a small huff he grabbed the case out of my hands, and we started walking back to where the rest of his teammates were sitting.

"Thanks Ace. Oh, and make sure to get them in ice, it's supposed to be over a hundred degrees today. We don't need any dehydration or fainting on the field today." I added.

He chuckled and turned a little sideways facing me, "Noted and yanno you didn't have to bring anything, right?"

I turned to face him, now both of us walking slightly at an angle, "Oh but I did."

"How long have you guys been here?" I gestured, pointing at all the teammates over in the distance.

"Eight am," Ace groaned, "I'm practically dying even though I took a nap after I got here."

"At least you had a nap." I pointed out, "I've been up since eight, so you've been up since like, six or seven?"

"Six for that pre-game workout." He sighed. "I guess that's the life of a soccer player"

"Hey sand-" Austin started to say.

"Guys this is Sana," Ace interrupted, glaring at him. "Sana these are the teammates, you already know Eric, Jacob, Jack, Jace, Ishan, Asher, Devin, Conner and Austin. The rest of them I'll just introduce them now." The only reason I knew all of those kids was either from school or from my brother's soccer phase back in middle school and freshman year.

"That's James," he pointed over to a blonde with green eyes who was sitting next to a girl who seemed to be his girlfriend. He nodded and went back to his conversation.

"That's Shawn, he's like the quiet kid who keeps all of our dumbasses in check, right Shawn?"

"You betcha. Ayo Sana did this idiot tell you about the Milly's Incident, we went to eat at that place cuz literally the best Greek in town easily and he-"

"OKAY THATS ENOUGH!" Ace interrupted, slapping his hand over Shawn's mouth.

"I'll tell you later." Shawn mouthed and I laughed and gave him a thumbs-up.

"Lastly there's Fred," he pointed to a black-haired boy with really pretty bright blue eyes, and he seemed to be the life of the party. "Don't confuse him with our Fred, he's the crackhead of the group and he WILL flirt with you." Ace whispered that last part into my ear as Fred winked at me. Taken aback by the gesture, my eyes widen but then I wink back. It would be rude not to, wouldn't it?

He smiled before turning to Jace, "See, I told you." Ace shook his head, laughing.

"Yup, yeah no I see it now, mhm." I turned my head to look back at Ace and we just laughed.
