Chapter Nine| Strange Feelings

I jog among the side walk when I feel someone looking at me. I stop & turn around to find people walking on the side walk or crossing the road. I shrug & resume my jogging. I listen to my playlist where the current song playing is Hole in the roof by Aron Chupa & Little sis Nora. That song is hilarious in its own way!

I enter the park still jogging then come to a stop in a grassy area & start doing warm ups then crunches. After my warning alarm starts playing indicating me to better go back to home I jog back home. The whole time I felt like someone was watching me, though I didn't find anyone. I trust my sixth sense.

I take a quick bath & decide to wear to wear full- my denim Dongre, red crop top with white strap design, a plain black belt around my waist & black ankle boots. I tie my hair in a tight bun & apply eyeliner along with light pink lip gloss. Satisfied with my looks I grab my messenger & duffel bags & step out of the room. we usually have our cheer practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Saturdays. We have decided to do extra practice since we've game this Friday.

I eat my breakfast in peace then head out. I stare at the ground- without any reason while we both sisters walk towards the front porch when I feel Chel poking my forearm. When I turn towards her she points towards the front- Kayden. He smiles & waves at me. I smile back & wave then seat on my driver seat to drive towards the school.

After parking my car when I head out someone grabs my forearm and as reflex action I turn around & twist that person's arm only to find Kyle standing in front of me gritting his teeth. I immediately let go of his hand and cross my hand over my chest, "Hey beautiful."

"What do you want Kyle?"

"Can't I just greet you?" I raise an eyebrow at him, "Fuck, I'm hurt Skylar," He says dramatically keeping a hand over his heart.

I again raise an eyebrow, "Get on the business Kyle or leave,"

"Feisty. Anyways, I was informed that Harvey is coming over during Thanksgiving. So when he comes over inform him about me & pass my number. I hope you have it." He winks at me.,

"there is two months for thanksgiving Kyle. Shouldn't you have your best friend's number?" I ask.

His face hardens, "you know why I don't."

"Yeah whatever." I say & walk away

Harvey Campbell, my cousin, is my mother's brother's son, the 19 year old guy graduated last year & now studies in UCLA. He was star of school. If you are wondering how Kyle knows him- he was in the same school as me. But Hey! I'm still in high school!

Harvey is/was a football player & captain. Meanwhile Theo was the quarterback & Braxton just a football player. Theo, Braxton, Kyle, Austin & Harvey were best friends, they were all players & bad boys but then Theo fell for Astrid & quieted this tradition whereas Harvey & Kyle fell over in a situation, which I don't know about but I know that it included cops after it got sorted they stopped talking to each other & Harvey started focusing on studies to get admission in his dream college UCLA, where he is now. I don't know what happened with Braxton but he changed, only Kyle didn't. And Austin, well, even he graduated last year & flew to Switzerland so I don't know if he is still a bad boy.

Not like I care.

After he graduated everything changed, Theo become the Captain & Braxton become the Quaterback whereas Kyle become the goal keeper. When Harvey was here he used to make sure no boy approaches me- the so called big brother duty, my ass. When he left, boys thought they can finally have me but failed since I had beaten up one of the guy who tried to kiss me forcefully in a party after that no one dared.
