Chapter Twenty Nine| Mine

"What!?" Kayden exclaimed looking at me like I'm crazy, "but y-you said you weren't ready."

"I ain't. But I ain't let her take what's mine."

"Did you just call me yours?" He says smirking.

"Duh, you're mine." I say & dismiss that matter, "focus Kayden we have much more important things."

"Right." He mutters, "Sky, you're not thinking properly. If we do this now there will be consequences, a lot of 'em."

"But, if that news gets out it will be living hell for you. I can't let you suffer just because I'm not ready." I argues back. I know announcing will have consequences but not doing this, will do too. And I've decided, I won't back down.

"Babe, what if this news reaches the guy who is trying to harm your family?" He asks, I open my mouth to reply but stop myself. He got me there. If Xyion gets to know about our relationship then he would create a havoc. But what about the nasty work Ava is doing which Xyion is supposed to do.

Something is wrong here.

"Kayden, listen to me very carefully," I say softly grabbing his shoulders, "let's divert media's attention to us by behaving like a lovey dovey couple we are instead of announcing. Media will get confused upon what is happening among we three. Then before Ava could call you cheating upon her with you, we will go instagram live announcing our relationship."

He thinks for a moment then asks, "what about the questions asked by fans about Ava?"

"First of all we won't amswer those. Second we will be one step ahead, we will say the actual month we both started dating & would apologize to your fans saying we wanted to keep it low. It would be a big blow to Ava & of course the media." I shrug.

"Okay let's go with it." He sucks in a deep breath then nods, I smile & intertwined our fingers. I hope everything goes as planned.

As we approach the back door I ask, "ready?" He nods, "oh and stay with me for the rest of the night to avoid that Fox."

"Fox?"

"My nickname for Ava." I chuckled darkly, "and keep sneaking in kisses."

"Duh." He kissed the back of my palm as I smiled and made our way inside. We can do this. I keep chanting in my head.
I hand Kayden's jacket back to him as we let go of our joined hands. He smiles & keep a hand on my lower back as we walk back towards our table. People stare at us noticing our close proximity but I don't give a damn.

I catch a movement from the corner of my eye, my hands automatically recah for Kayden's arm as I pull him so we walk faster.

Fox alert!

He pulls out the chair for me, I take my seat & thank him by kissing his cheek. He smiles sheepishly making our friends raise their eyebrows at us.

"What I've missed here?" Troye asked, "as far as I remember you guys wanted to keep it low?" I sigh & explain what the Fox did.

"That bitch!" Criss & Ash exclaim together. They both are gonna be or have become good friends. Same personalities.

"God, this girl is crazy." Astrid hisses.

Theo asks, "you sure this would be great idea with all the threat roaming around us?"

"What threat?" Oliver asks. Damn, Theo forget they are here too & don't know the actual story behind the attack in parking lot.

"Long story, I'll explain later." Kayden replies, "anyways, there is no other immediate solution."

"Hm." Jacob hums, "whatever happens we're here to help."
