Chapter Thirty| Suspicious & Lovebites

'Hey Skylar, I don't think I would be able to meet you at Risso's. My parents have gone out so I need to baby sit my sister.' Noah said across the line.

"Oh, I was hoping we could finish it today."

'Yeah... I was too. Would you like to come over my place?' I frowned at his suggestion. An uneasy feeling settled on me. I still very suspicious of my surroundings. My guards still up.

"I-I- How old is your sister?"

'Nine, why?'

"My sis is ten. They both will get along well. So why don't you guys come over?"

"I-Uh. I gotta ask my m-mom.' He said feeling uncomfortable as if it didn't go as he planned, 'so I will call you back.' He hung up as I frowned. Something is wrong about Noah.

So I did the first coming into my mind, I called our private investigator & told him to do background search on Noah Seavey & even sent his personal number to him. Then I rushed to my room & opened my laptop, opening Instagram then going to his account.

But unfortunately I didn't fine anything here. He had followers who were nerds of our school excluding me. After we become partners in this project I followed his Instagram account. Noah was a school nerd & didn't involve people much. So far I've noticed him to be the most innocent I know. He was even scared of me & those guys so what can this guy do to us?

My phone rang as I noticed Noah's name on it, "Hey!"

'Hi, so my mom allowed. Would 4:30 be perfect?'

"Yeah Cool, no problem. See ya."
'Yeah see ya, bye.'
I sighed as I cut the call & decided that he is an innocent person, but at that very second my phone rang to prove me wrong. It was our private investigator.

"Hey Mr. Thompson. So any info?"

'Yeah. The guy's seems good but I don't think the same about his parents.' He said, 'his parents are involved illegal buisness like drugs. But I couldn't find with whom they are involved with.'

"Oh."

'I could find more but I need atleast few hours.'

"Yeah that would be helpfull but could you try before 4:30?"

"I-uh, I don't know. It would take more time.' yeah well it will since he would arrive in less than two hours. I chew my inner cheek to think of something.

"Ok yeah fine. As soon as you find the information kindly contact my dad along with me."

'okay. Bye dear.'

"Goodbye Mr. Thompson." I hang up & think if something scratching my temple.

If his parents are involved in this then Noah would be? But his personality doesn't say that. But I shouldn't be so sure, I need to careful when he comes home.What if his parents are involved with Xyion?

No no, there are many other gang, he is not the only one. But Xyion has incredible sources. So he could easily hand work from New York.

I get off my bed & walk towards Chel's room, I knock once then open it to find her doing her homework. "Hey sissy." She greets me.

I greet back & say, "listen, we have some guest coming over at 4:30. It's basically my project partner & he is coming over with his sister who is almost if your age. So please play with her?"

"Yeah okay. But what's her name?"

"Uh I didn't ask that." I smile sheepishly, "but their surname is Seavey."
