Chapter 13: New Recruits

We were going to Hange's test subjects

But when we got there

We saw a wailing Hange in front of it is a dead titan corpse emitting steam

Hange's wailing is so loud my eardrums are ringing

I went towards her

And gave her my handkerchief but instead she took my sleeve and she blew there with her snots and tears

"Eeeeeek!!" I shriek feeling the wet liquid at my skin

"Hange-San!!" I heard Moblit yell behind her

"Thank you so much" She said while crying more tears

She hugged me and had another mourning session for her lost

Sawney and Bean

It was slayed last night using their 3D maneuvering gear

I have now better proof that some of the soldiers are a traitor

But who?

I stared at the titan carcasses in front of me

They were valuable test subjects and it contributed a lot to humanity's knowledge about the origin of the titans

I sighed I stare at the crowd all of them were staring at me and Hange

Well who wouldn't because a grown woman was crying her heart out because of the death of her titans

Humanity's number one enemy

And the one beside her was a very calm girl comforting her not irritated that her snot and tears were covering her and wondering if her eardrums are still not destroyed

"Oi! Four eyes let go of Evans" Captain said while kicking her away from

"But I need her!!" Hange whined

"We need to get back" Captain informed sternly with an authorized tone

Moblit took Hange away from me she was still a crying mess

"Oi!" Captain called out for me

He stared at me intently

"Get a twenty minutes bath when we get back" he said glaring at me

I gulped terrified

"Yes, Captain"

The military police handled the investigation to find the culprit of killing Hange's test subjects but still haven't found a single suspect

Tonight is the military Enlistment

I'm quite doubting if we could even get new recruits since all of them has experienced a lot since attack of Trost

So the ones that would stay and join the scouts must be very brave

I was at back of the stadium

Commander Erwin is giving his speech to the cadets about what would happen to them when they join

Seeing the terrified faces of the cadets I'm already doubting if anyone would even consider joining us after hearing his realistic speech

"60% of you will die in the scouts" the commander said

Me and Petra went towards and showed a map to the cadets

The commander explained about the plan on our upcoming expedition with them

All of them are still young but they have to choose a burden to acquire
