Chapter 59: Worry For You

I had been doing my paperwork for a while. I'm so sick of the smell of ink. I decided to get fresh air

I started walking and went for a stroll in the hallways most soldiers gave their respectful salute while I brush it off. Most of them are surprised seeing the commander leisurely walking through the halls

I stared at the hallways. I still remember the time how I always go to the library just to read books or play chess but now I have no time for that. I don't want to waste my time but right now I just feel like I wanted to go outside

Those were the happy days

Here I am walking with no destination in mind

I opened a door that supposed leads outside. My eyes widen seeing few soldiers that were preparing for there travel

All of them saluted I simply wave them off and they continued on their work

"Oh well isn't it our beautiful commander" Zeke said in teasing tone. I simply rolled my eyes

"Did you come here to bid your farewell?" Zeke asked

"Apparently I didn't remember that today was departure. I was just quite annoyed at the smell of ink and paper in my office" I explained in a stern voice

"Is that so? Or is an excuse to meet someone?........ Like me? It's quite amazing to be send off by a beauty like you" Zeke said in flirtatious tone

I simply stared at him in a baffled expression

"Oi!! Get in!!" a man yelled behind him. It was Levi in a murderous aura and he is ready to kill the monkey any time

"Well I will be going now" Zeke said

What he did next made Levi a real life erupting volcano. Zeke took Rei's hand and kissed the back of her palm

Levi totally lost it and literally kicked Zeke to the carriage. Like kicking a soccer ball to the net

"Stay in there!! You useless piece of shit " he yelled clearly mad and closed the doors in the carriage

My eyes widen at his outburst

I placed my hand on his shoulder. He immediately froze from the sudden contact

"I hope you have safe journey. The forest life is quite hard, don't you think?" I said in comforting manner

Levi eyes softened at her encouraging words. I suddenly coughed and took a few steps back. Making an awkward profesional distance

"Yeah thanks I can manage the Forest life" Levi awkwardly said

We just stayed there with an awkward silence. I couldn't bear the silence

I suddenly remembered the time he did my paperwork and gently layed me in bed....... The kiss

My face immediately redden remembering the scene. I couldn't handle the embarrassing moment

"Oh is that so? That is glad to hear. I shall get back to my office and finish a mountain of paperwork" I said trying to leave but Levi grabbed my hand

"Is there a problem captain?" I asked in stern voice

Levi eyes widen at the coldness of her tone. That didn't change his way of thoughts about her

"Please take care of yourself while I'm gone. Eat more you look skinny. I could break your arms because of how thin it is. Please sleep more. Your eyebags are darker than mine" but your still beautiful he wanted to add

My heart started to beat faster from his concerns. I pulled my hand away from him. And rubbed the part where he held me

"Uhm...... yeah I guess I should" I said while looking down on the floor. Levi realize there was a slight pink on her face.

"I should go now take care of yourself too your eyebags are still dark just like mine" I said

"Yeah bye I guess"

I went inside and lay my back on the wall. I placed my hand on my chest. I could feel the rapid beating of my heart

Why am I like this when I'm with you. My heart always waver around you. I can't! I need to focus. I am the commander there is no such thing as love in my title

My brother gave up on it long ago and so do I

It has been weeks since the attack in Liberio

I'm on my way to the military police headquarters

I was about to pass the front gate. When I saw a herd of people FLOCHing my way (pun intended)

"Commander!! Why is Eren Jaeger confined isn't he the hero" a reporter asked

I simply stared at them with an impassive expression. They started to to throw questions over questions

My head is starting to spin from the crowd but I remained my cold blooded expression. I felt someone tug my arm and pulled me to the gate

It was Hange

"Are you ok?" she asked I simply nodded in reply

"Can you tell us that we could trust you?" one of them asked

"Everything were doing is for the sake of Eldia" Hange replied

I started walking Hange following behind me. We stopped in front of a door. I twisted the handle of the door. Revealing the soldiers and in between are the people who spreaded the information about Eren

A sigh escape my lips and sat at the chair in front of them. I crossed my arms and glared at them especially at Floch

They were the reason I had to stay overnight checking the reports

"So Holger, Vim, Louise and Floch why did you do it?" I asked

"Because Eren should be freed he did not do anything wrong. He stood against the enemy and lead us to victory with the rumbling" Floch replied

"We can't guarantee that the rumbling would save us and different rumors are now spreading because of that mouth of yours" I hissed

"It's because you locked Eren in the cell your wasting time. We must release him immediately" he declared

"Yes you may be right. It was my choice to carry out Zeke's plan the responsibility lies on me. Which is why I won't let you act on your own. You will be put for the crimes of leaking information about Eren" I declared

"Put these four in the cells" I ordered

All of them left leaving me with Hange

Hange could see her friend suffering so much. Her complexion is pale as snow. Her body is thin as a stick. Her eyebags are darker than ever and her blue orbs are sunken in stress. Her usual face that always lit up in happiness. Is now empty

Hange frown seeing her like that. She changed so much in years

"Do you need anything?" Hange asked

"No I don't. I just need time to think" I said

Hange patted my shoulder and left

A sigh escape my lips

I'm exhausted
