But I felt like I'm sitting on a tree branch
I grunted in pain
The injuries I had before while battling Berthold
"You are finally awake"
"Reiner? Berthold?" I asked
I started coughing
Berthold went towards me and gave me water
I saw an unconscious Eren and Ymir
Both Reiner and Berthold had 3DMG on their waist
Reiner was wearing mine
"Why am I here?" I asked
"We had to" Reiner replied
There was a tense silence
I didn't dare to speak
"Are you ok?" Berthold broke the silence
"Uhm yeah I guess my whole body is painful" I informed
"Your awfully calm" Reiner commented
"I'm not calm, I'm confused" I said
"Your titans huh? That explains the scars on your faces back then" I said
Both of them look away in guilt
"Why? Why did you do it?" I asked them
"We had no choice" Berthold said
"I had to furfill my job as a warrior" Reiner stated
"So you were forced to do it?" I asked
Berthold look down in shame
"How do you feel when your the cause of death by thousands of people including my mother?" I asked
"I feel so horrible!! But I had no choice!!" Berthold yelled
I realize something
His traumatized he was forced to do something against his will
"I'm sorry" I said and tears fell
The two looked at me with utter confusion
"I'm sorry you have to experience such cruel things like do something against your will" I said
She crying for us they thought
"Please don't cry" Berthold said and tried to wipe the tears stains on my eyes
He hugged me it was unexpected for me because I see him as shy boy
I hugged him back
Reiner was shock no one has ever cried for him
"Come with us" Reiner suddenly blurted out
"Huh?" I tilted my head in confusion
Berthold let go from the hug
"Come with us to our hometown" Berthold said
"Wait?" I said in a state of shock
"There is no future on those walls" Reiner said
"Our hometown is amazing they will love you and that place is more peaceful" Berthold said
"If I'm going to leave I would have to leave them?" I asked looking at the walls
"I'm sorry I can't leave them behind" I said in distress
"We can't go back, we're going to leave tonight when titans couldn't move" Reiner informed
