Nervous - Rafe

Sat crossed legged on my bed I stare at my phone waiting for him to reply to me. God why am I waiting for a boy to reply to me!? I rest my head in my hands as I push my phone to the side. As I sit in silence my mind wanders back to the night I just had.

Seven hours earlier

"You guys ready for the craziest night of your lives then?" JJ screams as he drives the van towards the party. The pogues and I cheer back as laughter erupts into the air. I smile to myself as I watch everyone, they all seem so happy, it's good. We all need this.

The van pulls up next to the other cars, loud booming music already reaching our ears, adrenaline rushes through me as I step out of the van. I feel Kie squeeze my hand before she walks off with Pope and JJ. I smile to myself, knowing theres definitely something going on between her and JJ.

I begin to walk towards the party when I'm pulled back. I raise my fist up as I turn around to face him.
"Didn't think you'd show tonight" he smirks at me as I lower my fist. I shake my head as I roll my eyes.
"Didn't want to make you feel lonely now did I?" I smirk back at him. Now it's his turn to shake his head at me as he smiles. I chuckle as I grab his hand leading him into the party.

"Your not worried about your pogue friends and how they'd feel if they saw you with me then?" He questions as he fills a cup with beer for me. I look behind me as I watch John B and Sarah cuddled up next to one another laughing.

"Rafe I couldn't give less of a fuck." He chuckles wrapping his arm around me as he hands me the cup.

"Well then" I look up at him meeting his eyes as he looks down at me. We both smile at each other enjoying the moment.

We sit down together on a wall as we look out to the beach down below. The sun has begun to set, with bright pinks and oranges painting the sky and reflecting onto the water. The music of the party continues blaring into the background as I look over at Rafe. He's sat, arm lazily over my shoulder, looking around at the party.

I rest my head on his shoulder as he pulls me closer towards him. I trace shapes onto his arm as he begins to play with my hair. As I cuddle in closer to him I hear his heart beating faster. I smirk at the thought of me making Rafe nervous.

"Rafe Cameron are you nervous?"

He blushes slightly as he lets out a nervous chuckle,
"Me? Nah I'm never nervous."
"Oh really?" I say as I turn to face him meeting his eyes.
"Oh really" he says getting closer.

My heart begins to beat quicker as I feel his breath hit my face. I watch him look down at my lips before looking back at me. I rest my forehead on his, as our breath intertwines with one another. The longer we wait, the longer the tension builds. Then suddenly his lips touch mine, softly at first, almost as if he's nervous to kiss me.

I kiss him back, getting lost in the moment. My hands reach to his hair, as he places his hand on the side of my face. When he eventually pulls away he looks at me, I smile at him.
"Oh you were definitely so nervous" I tease him as he looks down laughing.

"Shut up, I could hear your heart beating faster than normal, I think you might have been more nervous one," he teases back biting his lip slightly. I gasp dramatically, lightly pushing his shoulder.

"As if" I say as I rest my head on his shoulder,
"Whatever you say y/n."

Seven hours later

As I sit on my bed, I glance at my phone that I had pushed to one side. Why did I think he would text me? It was just a kiss to him, nothing more. He's probably done that to loads of girls.

A sigh escapes my lips as I lay back, burying my head into the pillows feeling like an idiot.

"I knew I made u feel nervous." I hear a voice say, I look up from my pillows as I see him standing in my doorway.

"Oh you bitch" I laugh as I get up walking towards him. He smirks at me as I embraces me into his arms, making me feel more safe than ever before.

Hey guys hope you enjoyed this chapter. It's a bit messy but 🤷🏼‍♀️  what did we all think of season two then? I watched it wayyyy too quickly but I thought it was amazing!
