"I'M SORRY AMBER, BUT I HAVE TO ASK. Why are you all of the sudden uninterested in Theo? Like I understand completely because he's fucking weird, but didn't you go out with him? You said it yourself, it wasn't terrible. What changed?" Rafe asked as the pair stood in Amber's kitchen. She didn't want to tell Rafe the truth; she couldn't tell him. "I guess I just realized he wasn't the one and I was never truly interested in him." Amber shrugged, not being able to look the older boy in the eye as he nodded in response. "You plan on doing the same to me?" He took a step closer to her, their bodies only centimeters from eachother. "I don't 'wanna lose you, Rafe. Ever." Amber spoke as her lower back hit the counter, wrapping her hands around the Cameron boys neck.

"The only way you'll ever be able to get rid of me is quite literally over my dead body." He chuckled dryly, nothing but seriousness laced in his tone of voice. His lips met hers, giving them a quick peck before he told her he had to go to the restroom.

"Amber!" The voice of none other than Mikael Livingston rang through their very large estate only seconds later, "Baby brother, is that you?" Amber called out, a giggle escaping her lips. However, her lips soon turned to form a line upon seeing her brothers expression. Mikael Livingston was angry; no, he was absolutely and completely livid.

"Oh." Amber spoke, her facial expression now turning to one of guilt. Pope. He was angry because Rafe Cameron, who was just a mere few feet down the hall, had beaten one of her brothers closest friends. She didn't need him to tell her for her to automatically know, "I'm sorry, Mickey." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she looked at anything but her younger brother. Suddenly, the color of the walls seemed like a very interesting topic for Amber to think about. "I'm not the one you should be apologizing to Amber. Fucks sake, what is wrong with you? Yeah, I know Topper is your best friend and Rafe Cameron is," Mikael rambled yet couldn't help but pause at the mention of the Cameron boy. He wanted to say Amber and Rafe were nothing more than friends, but he knew his sister better than that. The way her eyes and face softened just at the mention of his name told the younger Livingston everything he needed to know, "Jesus Christ, Amber, you and Rafe? He's a dickhead."

"Not to me. Barely ever to you." Amber mumbled, "Yeah because you're my sister and the boy is practically head over heels for you." Mikael scoffed, "He's an ass to the pogues, my best friends, you should know that better than anyone."

"Mickey, they put a gun to his head." She argued, but the younger Livingston was quick to fire back, "Because Topper tried to drown John B. John B, Amber! I know you care about him and the rest of them even if you'll no longer admit to it." Amber finally let her gaze meet her brothers and tears pricked at her hazel eyes, threatening to spill. He was right. He knew she knew it, but he also knew better than to think his sister would actually admit it.
