There was one thing that you loved more than Nat. And that was hoodies. You had a huge collection of your own, but you loved stealing everyone else's. Tony stopped putting you on laundry duty because you would just steal everyone's hoodies. Most of the guys didn't mind, although Bucky was very protective over his.

Of course, your favourite person to steal hoodies off was Nat (of course). Hers just seemed softer and comfier than yours, plus they smelled like her. Whenever she was on a mission, you would wear her hoodies constantly so you didn't miss her too much. Of course that didn't work, but it was all you could do whilst she was away.

Nat had been on a mission with Cap and Tony for 2 months and they were supposed to be away for another month. You really struggled whilst she was away, and the bed felt really empty. You wore one of her hoodies everyday just to feel close to her.

It was currently 10pm and you were sat on your bed eating Ben and Jerry's ice cream whilst watching The Princess and the Frog (or whatever movie is your comfort movie). You hadn't slept much since Nat was away and you were struggling to keep your eyes open. This was one of your favourite movies but you just couldn't focus on it. All you could think about was Nat coming home tomorrow. You had worn almost all of her hoodies during those 2 months, but refused to wash them because they wouldn't smell like her anymore. Nat's favourite one was red and it had 'badass bitch' written in tiny letters in the top left corner. On the right sleeve she had sewed 'Y/N' in white with a little heart around it and whenever she was wearing it she would rub that over her lips.

You had abandoned the empty ice cream tub and were rubbing that sleeve gently over your lips. You missed Nat's touch and just wanted to feel her lips on yours. Leaving the movie playing, you got under the duvet and grabbed Nat's pillow, pulling it under your chin, so the faint smell of her coconut shampoo tickled your nostrils. Tears started slowly running down your face and you clutched the pillow tighter, just wishing for her to come home. You drifted off to sleep with tears staining her pillow, her hoodie pulled tightly around you.

Meanwhile, Nat, Cap and Tony were on the quinjet flying back to the tower. The mission had been such a success that they were able to return a whole month early. Nat was sat at the side, bouncing her knee up and down. She was so excited to see you after 2 months and she couldn't wait to have you in her arms. Faint voices could be heard from the front of the quinjet so she got up to check what was going on.

Tony had called the tower to let everyone know they were coming back. Nat quickly scanned the faces of her team, and her smile quickly disappeared as she realised she couldn't see you anywhere.

"Hey guys, where's Y/N?" she asked the team.

Everyone stopped talking and just looked at each other.

"What's going on? Where is she?!" Nat spoke dangerously at the hologram.

"Nat, she hasn't left her room since you went away. She doesn't come out, and we just leave her food outside the door. She won't talk to anyone." Bucky looked guilty as Nat's face grew concern.

"Ok, thank you for telling me"

Nat slowly walked back to where she was sitting, her fingers absentmindedly playing with her arrow necklace. She felt guilt building in her stomach at the thought of you being alone all this time. She didn't know you were that bad when she went away.

"TONY MAKE THIS THING FLY FASTER- NO I DONT CARE IF YOU CANT, FIND A - IF YOU JUST TOLD ME TO CALM DOWN STARK I AM GONNA SHOVE YOUR HEAD SO FAR UP YOUR -"

"WOAH!! Woah! ok Nat! I'll fly faster! Don't get your panties in a pickle!"

For Nat, those 10 minutes couldn't have gone slower. But the minute the jet touched down, she ran out onto the platform and into the tower. She ignored everyone welcoming her back. She had one goal - find you.

She bolted up the stairs, as waiting for the elevator was really testing her patience, and she slowed to a stop outside your shared bedroom door. She smiled to herself as she could faintly hear The Princess and the Frog playing. She knew that was your comfort movie.

She slowly opened the door and the sight before her made her heart soar. You were laying in the middle of the bed, surrounded by blankets. You had her red hoodie on and you were holding her pillow so tightly that Nat thought it was going to explode into feathers. But as she got closer, she saw your tear stained face and the dark circles under your eyes.

She immediately felt terrible for leaving you for this long. You were her baby, and she loved being the one to protect and look after you. Yes, you fought bad guys and were pretty badass, but off the battle field you were the biggest softie ever. And that helped Nat in so many ways, more than you would ever know.

She climbed under the covers, trying not to wake you, but you were a light sleeper. You opened your eyes and saw Nat's gorgeous green eyes staring down at you.

"Natty?" you whispered, your lip quivering.

"It's me, baby. I'm here"

That was it. That's all you needed before you started sobbing. Nat pulled you closer as you cried into her shoulder.

"I'm so sorry bubs. But I'm home now and I won't leave you again."

You tilted your head so you could look her in the eyes.

"You promise?" You sniffled, trying to slow your tears.

"Yes I promise baby. I promise"

You snuggled into her chest and brought your hand up to twist a strand of her hair around your finger. It calmed you and Nat loved the feeling.

"Is this my hoodie babe?" Nat asked whilst she stroked your cheek. You ducked your head into her chest to hide you face as you blushed.

"Maybeeee" you whined, embarassed that she caught you. Although everyone knew you stole hoodies, you still got embarassed when someone pointed it out.

"You know that's my favourite one. Why didn't you pick a different one babe?"

"Because I've already worn all the others" you mumbled, your voice muffled by her jacket.

"What was that babe?"

"Ive already worn the others" you said, slightly louder than before.

Nat smiled to herself at your cuteness. Normally, she would be a bit annoyed that you had used all her hoodies, but just being with you was enough for her. She could sort that out tomorrow.

She kissed the top of your head and placed it on her chest, trying to get both of you comfortable. You hooked your arm around her waist and squeezed her, making sure she wouldn't leave.

"Don't worry darling, I'm not going anywhere. I love you"

You hummed before saying "I love you too".

You both fell asleep, happy to be together again.
