I read until it was almost six in the morning. I guess I could at least get an hour of sleep.

Readers POV:

I opened my eyes to be greeted by the sun Charlotte has allowed in my room.

"Good morning young lady. Ciel has invited you to a river ride." Charlotte informed me as I sat up.

"Alright I'll be there then." I said standing so Charlotte could dress me.

Charlotte put me in a baby blue dress with white underneath.

Later on Sebastian came to pick me up. It was odd not having Ciel with him. Sebastian brought me onto a boat where Ciel was laying down on the floor.

"Sebastian, why is Ciel sleeping?" I asked as it was the middle of the day.

"He didn't get much sleep last night my lady." Sebastian responded.

I just watched the clear water as he started to wake up.

"Sebastian." I heard Ciel say.

"You were sleeping very soundly." Sebastian mentions.

"Good, you're up." I said trying to be excited.

Ciel just stares as me as he tries to wrap his head around things. Finny, Mey-Rin, and Baldroy all came passing by on a separate boat.

"Well master, we have very nearly arrived." Sebastian mentioned making all attention on him.

"Now there is work to be done." Sebastian implies.

Once Ciel and I arrive on shore, he and Sebastian get straight to work as I stand off to the side.

"This area had been plagued by floods for many years. It is my hope that the addition of new floodgates will restore Phantomhive lands to peace and safety." Ciel says as Sebastian stands right next to him.

"Additionally, I would like to thank all of you for your continued support in this grand endeavor. I shall commit myself to the task of flood prevention as my family has for generations before me in the hope of bettering all our lives." Ciel added as he bowed to show he finished his speech.

I start to applaud as everyone else does to prevent being an outcast. I stare at the river as Ciel is being surrounded by people.

"Ciel." I tried saying cheerfully, I am always gloomy around him it's time for a change. After all I'm going to be marrying him.

"(Y/n)? This is new?" Ciel questioned it as ran up to him

"Look at what I found!" I said holding a piece of paper up.

"It's a deer!" I added.

"A deer?" Ciel repeated

"There's an elusive deer living on a hill near here. It's ever so rare!" I said proud of my discovery.

"Oh, is it now?" Ciel asked very confused by my sudden tone.

"A cute white stag that makes people happy!" I said handing him the old newspaper.
