S-Sounds of... cheering!
The trial's over!

Athena opened the doors wide open.
"Athena!"
I tried to put on a smile.

"It's 'Athena not-guilty Cykes'!"
She joked.

"I'm so glad everything's over..."
I sighed in fake-relief, making sure my body language was happy and confident.

"Um, Y/N? Something's disrupting your happiness..."
Athena mentioned.
Oh, right... she can HEAR it...

"Pfff, y-you should rest, Athena. You are probably hearing things. I'm fine, really!"
I tried my best to brush it off.

"Liar... it's almost impossible to see, but you bearly clenched your fists..."
Apollo mumbled, as Mr. Wright and Simon entered the lobby.

D-Damn it! Change the subject, change the subject!
"W-Well, it's not about me! We should celebrate Athena's and Simon's freedom! How about we go-"

"L/N-Dono. Please come aside with me."
Simon said, his eyes piercing through me.

"A-Alrighty then..."
I reluctantly go with him to the other side of the lobby.

"What's wrong, Y/N?"
He asked.

"Hmm? Me? That's nothing, really."

"Non of us are going anywhere until you tell me. I want you to be calm and happy."
Simon insisted, holding my hand.

DON'TBLUSHDON'TBLUSHDON'TBLUSH

Well, I better say it quick to not waste anyone's time.
"Just... I don't know...
...this day was too much for me.
Very stressful and I was very worried about you two getting a guilty verdict.
And the reveal of the phantom was a little unsettling for me. It'll be nightmare fuel for a few days, that's for sure."
I admitted. Blackquill closed his eyes, listening carefully.

...
"You see? Nothing! Let's go to the others!"
I laughed it off.

"L/N-Dono, is there anything I can do to help you feel better?"
He said, his expression hard to read.

"Hey, prosecutor Blackquill!
Before I forget- there's a hotel in front of our office where you could stay!"
Mr. Wright exclaimed from the other side of the lobby.

"Thanks, I'll think about it."
Blackquill said back.

"I... uh, won't mind if you stay with me until you find a house..."
I smiled shyly.

"R-Really?"

"I mean, my apartment isn't very big, but I'm pretty sure it's better than a prison cell! Haha! Hehe... Ha..."
AAAAA STOP EMBARRASSING YOURSELF

"I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to be a burden..."
Simon sighed.

"Y-You? Burden? Absolutely not!
I would LOVE for you to stay for a while! Not a problem at all! We didn't get to spend time together since prison, hehe!
And... I won't mind having some company like you around..."
I panicked, so I quickly said everything I could to convince him it was okay.

"And... I suppose I'll feel better and safer with you by my side..."
I mumbled.

"I guess it's settled, then.
I appreciate you. I mean- the offer.
I appreciate the offer. A-And you."
Something appeared on his pale face but he looked away before I could catch it.

"Okay, let's go, then!"
I giggled.

I put a hand on his shoulder, like I used to when I escorted him to places.
"S-Sorry! Old habits!"

Simon chuckled.
He stood by my side, gripping my hand.
"T-This is better."

HEISHOLDINGMYHAND, HEISHOLDINGMYHAND!
D-Don't think about it too much, Y-Y/N!
It's probably nothing!

We joined the others, as they were planning to go to a small noodle stand to celebrate.
I gotta admit, the stand was quite sketchy, but it seems like the Wright Anything Agency ate there daily.

Hmm. Those salty noodles were tastier then expected. Athena kept talking to Simon, teasing him about something.

They were quite close years ago.
He protected her by taking the blame for the UR-1 incident for seven years.
She was just 11 years old... the poor thing.
That's something very brave and admirable, I have to admit.
It's nice to see them bonding together.

Taka took a small fly around, landing on my shoulder.
"G-Gah!"
Mr. Wright squirmed.

"Don't worry, Taka's not going to kill you for now."
I joked.

"Um, r-right."
He took a step back.

I sighed, nodding my head.
"Aye, Taka, there's some meat in my noodles. You want some?"
I asked the hawk.

It seems like his eyes lit up. I giggled, giving away the small pieces of meat.

Apollo and Mr. Wright continued taking a few steps back, still scared.
What could this sweet bird possibly do to them to scare them THIS much?

Taka took off again, and the two sighed in relief. Trucy, Mr. Wright's daughter, was observing the scene, interested.
