Harumi was cleaning the pool. It was so filthy! Perhaps, the last maid skipped out on it. Or nobody bothered to buy a screen.
"I heard Madeline told you about her past." a
voice said from behind her.
Harumi turned around and saw a dark-haired boy.
"Yeah, and what's it to you?" Harumi said
"I'm her friend and I was checking your aura to see if it improved somewhat." the boy said
"What are you? The Elemental Master of Aura?" Harumi said with a smirk
"Nah. Aura? That sounds so stupid. No, I'm the Elemental Master of Sight. My name is James." James said
"So what is it?" Harumi asked
"A dark gray. You are improving." James said
"Wow...Good to know." Harumi said sarcastically
"Have you been spending time with Morro?" James teased
"We've had a few encounters. He's my boss and I barely know him. Why?" Harumi said as she fishes out branches from the pool
"I was just wondering if you were naturally sarcastic or if you acquired it." James said
"Ahem." A voice said behind them.
It was Morro.
"James, Can I discuss something with you?" Morro asked annoyed
"Uh...Yeah sure." James said before being pulled away by Morro.
Harumi felt so embarrassed. Another maid or butler must have reported what they saw.

"Why are you pestering my employee? She's supposed to be working." Morro said raising an eyebrow
"Madeline trusts her. I'm giving her a chance." James said
"You? Give her a chance?" Morro snickered
"Your the one who wanted to keep her here!" James said
"That's true. But I have to monitor her. I still don't trust her completely." Morro said
"You trust her enough to give her an unguarded room far from yours." James said
"That's...That's different James!" Morro stuttered
"If you truly didn't trust her, her room would be guarded. Or at least near your room, so you can react if she tries something." James said
Morro was silent. There's no way he knew about those awkward moments he had with her.
James could notice the sweat coming down Morro's forehead.
"She tried before hasn't she?" James said
"I don't have to tell you anything." Morro said leaving the room.
James watched Morro walk away. Sometimes, he really doesn't understand him.
