Nearly a week passes before Lydia is able to return to school, having successfully gone through surgery for her fairly large wound. Malia and Talulla entered the school with Lydia, showing her and explaining the book they'd found just days earlier.

Lydia holds up the green colored, dingy looking paperback up with her left hand, scanning the book, "The Dread Doctors by T.R. McCammon." Lydia head turns with curiosity, her feet stopping abruptly.

"What?"

The three girls continue to stare at the book, Lydia shaking her and walking forward again, "I don't know. There's something about it. Has anyone actually read it yet?"

Malia responds quickly, "Just me. And I didn't understand any of it."

Talulla looks towards Lydia, "I haven't read it yet. There's only one copy so I let Malia take it with her. I don't have a good feeling about reading this if I'm being honest."

"It might not be the greatest idea but if these things are here, we should probably all read it."

"Kira's working on that." Malia says as the girls now arrive towards their lockers.
