If someone had told Talulla Ito that in less twenty-four hours she'd died, been resurrected, found one of her friends in a comatose state, and had to pretend to hide her death from the love of her life to befuddle an enemy, she'd probably ask them what kind of drugs they were on. Even after so many experiences with supernatural enemies and crazy situations she never could have even imagined, she never would have thought of that. Talulla was slowly beginning to wonder whether or not somebody had put her on drugs simply because the past twenty-four hours of her life had been so unbelievably crazy.

Not even twelve hours ago she had been dying of mercury poisoning, yet here she was, standing with her back against the wall next to one of her best friends. Talulla and Scott stood with one another off to the left of the stair case, both of them softly controlling the breaths that escaped between their lips.

The silence in the house was deafening as the three friends waited for the arrival of the boy who managed to cause so much chaos in such a short time. Talulla was listening into Stiles' heartbeat, the light rhythmic thumping keeping her mind at ease. She ticked her head slightly as her ears now began to pick up small footsteps leading up to the front door. Light shuffling sounded throughout her ears before a few seconds of silence passed.
