Chapter 19- Maternity Shoot (Tommy Thayer POV)

A/N: MANAGING TO GET A CHAPTER OUT BEFORE WORK...YES! ENJOY!

Dinner of course was amazing, Nikki insisted on washing the dishes himself despite my protests and told me to go rest and get off my feet. I did so reluctantly, after the dishes were done, we cuddled for awhile on the couch and just watched tv. Such a perfect evening! After a while I struggled to stay awake and next thing I know, I find my self upstairs in our bedroom and once more drift off.

Currently, I find myself in bed by my self and I start to panic before I notice there is a note on my side of the bed in Nikki's handwriting:

My beloved Tommy,

Sorry if I made you panic at all! I just was eager to get started on prepping for the photo shoot with you and I am not normally a morning person, but I really wanted to make things special for you! Oh, and I brought you breakfast, hope cinnamon rolls, fruit and a smoothie are ok! Also, don't forget to take those vitamins my love! I will be back upstairs in a little while, please though if you need anything please let me know.

Cinnamon rolls, a smoothie and fruit? My brain finally is cleared of its fog as I notice a tray on the bedside table and I finally notice the delicious scent of cinnamon rolls, causing me to inhale deeply. Ah, nothing like that delicious smell! Carefully, I sit up and take the tray and begin to eat. I moan in appreciation; everything tastes SO good! Nikki is an amazing cook himself, which I never would have guessed. I feel my sons stretch with in me and kick in delight. I chuckle, guess they are enjoying the food too. I finish quickly and amazingly without getting crumbs in the bed, put the tray back on the table and pad into the bathroom and pee. Then I decide to strip and take a shower, which the hot water by the way feels amazing on my back. I get out dry off and dry my hair and I hear the door to bedroom open and hear:

"Tommy? Where are you?" Nikki is back it seems.

"In the bathroom!", I called back, and I am still naked and am covered with a robe. Nikki enters the bathroom and greets me with a kiss.

"Did you enjoy breakfast?" Nikki asks hands on my baby bump.

"Mmm, yes I did Nikki. That was sweet of you! And our sons enjoyed it too! Have you already finished setting things up? I don't know what I'm supposed to wear and all.", Nikki seems so excited, but I also sense that he for some reason is nervous.

"That's great Tommy and I am so glad the three of you enjoyed it and yeah I've finished setting everything up in my studio, as for clothes sweats and a t-shirt will be fine." Nikki kisses me once more and I dress in one of his t-shirts and a pair of sweats and we head downstairs to Nikki's photography/art studio and when we enter my jaw drops!

There's a comfy looking couch set up and in another part of the room, a place with lots of pillows and I notice a sheet? Draped in the corner and everything Nikki would need for the shoot. Nikki really went all out, and it all looks so very beautiful and even romantic.

I turn to Nikki eyes wide, "Nikki.... this is...wow...I mean y-you did all this...it's amazing! And what's the sheet for?"

Nikki blushes under my gaze and replies, "Yes I did...I wanted to make this special for you and for us...um, the sheet...I don't want you being uncomfortable, and we don't have to but I was thinking well you could be naked like with the sheet draped around you just so...to where your belly shows, kind of like a goddess thing."

"I'd love to, I trust you Nikki...in fact do you want to go ahead and do that? But I don't want to mess anything up.", I sigh hands on my swollen belly and feel my sons squirm around. I feel Nikki tilt my chin up.

"Tommy, that means so much that you trust me and of course we can do that first, you're not messing anything up ok? This is all about you and our sons.", Here Nikki brings his hands down to my belly. "Let's get started ok babe?"

Nikki carefully helps me strip until I stand naked before him and then helps me lay on the couch he'd set up and drapes the sheet around me just so, to where only my swollen belly shows, and I place my hands cupping and caressing my belly tenderly and I am very comfortable and soon Nikki starts shooting away with the camera getting various shots and angles and I even try some different poses. Nikki commentating on how beautiful and ethereal I look, and I must agree with him I do feel so beautiful. Nikki seems to have the shots he needs for this set up and surprises me when he sets the camera up to where it's on a timer and comes to sit on the couch and I find myself in his strong arms as he puts his hands on my belly and kisses me and I hear the camera click. That was just one of the most romantic moments and just one of the sweetest moments and truly a lovely surprise.

Eyes soft, Nikki says quietly after our kiss, "Surprise Tommy...how are you feeling? Do you need a break, or you need anything?"

I reply in just as quiet a tone, "That was a romantic and sweet surprise! I feel ok right now, we can keep going." So, Nikki helps me put me clothes back on and we move on to the next set up to the thousands of pillows on the floor and Nikki makes sure I am comfortable and kisses me before he starts carefully arranging me just so, his touches so very tender and begins once more taking a bunch of shots with his camera. My hands are on my belly, and I look on my belly in wonder as I feel my sons kick and I can't help but smile. After a bit, Nikki has the shots he wants or needs and again sets his camera on a timer and joins me on the floor just simply holding me his forehead resting against mine and the camera clicks.

"Hey Tommy, I have some body paint...don't worry its safe for your skin and won't hurt our sons, but I was thinking I could paint your belly with like stars and roses and things like that. Oh, that reminds me.... I meant to show you months ago, my sketch book and oh I brought snacks for you to eat down here if you want to take a break." Nikki proceeds to help me up and sits me back on the couch where we started and brings me some food and I take it with a grateful smile.

"Sorry it took me so long to answer you Nikki, but that sounds amazing! Bet it will feel good too. You're the most wonderful and amazing partner and you will be an amazing father! I love you!". I say in between bites trying not to get crumbs everywhere and so far, I seem to be succeeding. Nikki smiles at me lovingly producing his sketch book....

"Tommy, what I'm going to show you...still even when I was being well the devil and being so cold to you...all I found myself drawing was you, because I loved you then and I love you now even more so than ever."

Nikki opens it up and my eyes widen, carefully flipping thru the pages.... page after page I see me, I see myself on the tour bus, on stage, I see me...I see how with every sketch, every line I feel how much he loved me...loves me. It brings tears to my eyes.

"Nikki, this is...you have always loved me even when you didn't see, when I didn't see.... Thank you for showing me my love.", I hand the book back to him but not before we kiss. And of course, I finish my food, my heart is overflowing with love.

"I've always loved you and I always will, always.... now if you're ready for it, I'll get started painting your belly...this, beautiful...beautiful belly." Nikki rubs my stomach in slow and gentle circles, and I join him.

"I'm ready Nikki, so ready." We continue to stroke my stomach and our sons move within me gently just content like we are in the moment.
