Chapter 36-Baby I've Got You, always! (Tommy Thayer-Sixx POV)

Oh, did my husband and I have a romantic night last night! More than that, it was the perfect date day/night. Nikki, God he is quite the romantic! A romantic surprise photo shoot, dinner.... a night of love making. It was just simply perfect! I couldn't ask for a better husband! Currently, I am sitting on the couch...of course I propped up by pillows.... just finished the special tea Nikki makes me and am drinking water and nibbling on peanut butter cookies and chips I've been craving. I have the tv turned to Food network, I mean why not? Nikki had to go pee...should be back any....

"Space-Honey I'm back!" well he's back and I smile at my husband...

"Good, now are you going to stare at me all day, which hey I don't blame you or are you going to join me on this couch?"

He joins me on the couch, naturally and as soon as he sits down, he kisses me making me weak. It's always like this, it's magical really. Nikki takes me into his tattooed and muscular arms after we part, and I lay my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. One of his hand's snakes down to my little swollen belly that's housing our triplets like always.

"Ya know I can't wait till the babies arrive. I hope we have a girl or two." Nikki says while stroking my belly and I lay my hands over his.

"I was so damn scared at first.... but you.... i don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there, I mean you've been my rock. My absolute rock!" My hormones get the better of me and I start to cry. Scratch that...sob.

"OH Tommy, I know...baby I know...it's ok. I'm here. I'm here, I was never going to leave you and I NEVER will. Never, and God, I can't tell you how much I love you and our children.... ALL of them." Emotion and earnestness coating his tone, I sniffle as I gradually calm down.

"Speaking of which I called to check on Gunner and Tyler, they are doing well." I laugh, "I don't know if we'll get our sons back though."

"Knowing Paul and Vince probably not." Nikki laughs with me. "It's funny too, I'd called them earlier before you did, but how are you feeling?" Concerned now.

"I feel fine, been drinking the water and tea and eating these delicious peanut butter cookies and chips! Still feel tired though, but I am ok I promise." Nikki looks relieved.

"So, what do you want to do today?" Nikki asks. I 'hmm' in thought.

"Cuddle more, eat, fix dinner and lunch, nap...jam together. Pee...can I pee then we jam?" I say in a rush prompting my husband to chuckle.

"Sounds like a good day to me Tommy, sounds perfect...YOU are perfect."

We manage to get up off the couch after while, and I pee.... must pee constantly being pregnant...but that done we first swing by the kitchen grabbing tea for me and some snacks and head to the practice room.

Nikki hands me my guitar carefully and I tune it as he tunes his bass and we get started playing Kiss songs, playing Motley songs, and playing all our favorites, this goes on for quite a while until I decide to call for a break and eat the food I'd brought and drink some tea, ah 'wonder tea' as I call it. Then we play together for a little while longer before I declare I want to fix lunch, really starting to seriously crave fried chicken but oven baked fried chicken and the fixings to go with it, so that's what Nikki and I do...that's what we fix. There is much laughter, and loving conversation. Lunch is delicious by the way, and I do most of the eating, so no leftovers. After we wash the dishes, and by 'we' I mean Nikki, while I watched as he wanted me to sit down, and rest.... i didn't argue...and I ask...

"Nikki?"

"What's on your mind Space-honey?" He eyes me from his position by the sink.

I let out a huge yawn, "I think I need a nap.... but I want cuddles. Sorry I am so sleepy."

"Don't be sorry Tommy, your pregnant and again with multiples and so you tire much more easily. We can still cuddle before you sleep, do you want to go upstairs to bed or the couch?" Nikki at this point has come from behind the counter and takes me in his arms and we kiss.

I yawn again, "Couch...I won't make it upstairs." Come to think of it I am so sleepy, I don't have the energy to walk to the living room....

Nikki seems to sense how I'm really feeling, so carefully oh so carefully he picks me up and carries me to our couch, me too tired to protest and sets me up with pillows and blankets...struggling here to keep my eyes open.

Nikki kisses me once more and exclaims, "Sleep Tommy. I'm here. I love you."

"Love you too" I murmur sleepily as I finally give in to the call of sleep.

I sleep for how long I don't know, and I wake up to...wait where is my husband?! Before I can even begin to panic, Nikki re-enters the room.

"Thank god! I was starting to freak out!" and burst into tears feeling mortified with my mood swings.

"Tommy, whoa...whoa, I'm SO SORRY that I've worried you so!" Nikki joins me on the couch and takes me in his arms us cuddling one another. "I was working on dinner ideas, doing laundry, doing some writing, and checking on our sons. And I can tell you feel embarrassed or bad about your mood swings, it's ok Tommy, truly. And I have been checking on you often while you were sleeping."

I sniffle, "I'm sorry if I made you feel bad Nikki. I love you."

"Tommy, you didn't hurt my feelings, I was just worried about you and if you are wondering our sons are doing well, they just woke up from their nap and we're being fed. And I love you too so much."

"I know.... glad they are doing ok.... I miss them." I sigh, "They are coming back tomorrow, right?"

Nikki nods excited as I am to see our sons, "Yes they are. Now for dinner I was thinking.... how do you feel about stir-fry? Beef stir-fry?"

"OOOH, that sounds SO good! Dessert? I'd like fruit actually." I am drooling right now I can tell and just at the mere thought.

"Then that's what we'll have then." Nikki strokes my back gently and I am content.
