Maia

"What are you doing here?" I asked, confused. Is he following me? Oh God, did my mom send him again?

"I got invited; Finn's a good friend of mine." He smiled.

"Your friends with my brother?"

"Your Finns sister?"

We both said at the same time, looking shocked. Am I tripping or what? I feel like everyone I know knows everybody. What a small world we live in. Now that he mentioned it, it made me realize that he did look familiar, like I've seen him in some of my brother's photos online.
"I am friends with Finn, though I can't believe you're his sister." He said, still in disbelief.

"Wait, how long have you been friends with him?" Looking confused.

"We go way back." He smiled.

"Huh. I have never seen you hang out with him before." I said still confused.

"Just a busy guy I guess." He shrugged.

"You look beautiful by the way." He added as he shove his hands in his pockets, checking my dress out.

"Oh, thanks. I know." I joked, causing him to let out a small chuckle.

"Do you wanna da-" He spoke but was cut off when someone chimed in.

"Hey, babe who's this?" without turning my head from their direction I immediately knew it was Drew. He snaked his hand on my waist as it rested in front of my stomach pulling me closer to him, which made my stomach do flips. Feeling his tall figure behind my back made my heart pound and heat up in all kinds of places. Dear God Maia control yourself.

"Oh, Drew! This is Mason. Mason meet Drew, my boyfriend." I said.

"Huh. So your Mason. Nice to meet you." Drew said as he reached his hand forward for a shake while still holding me in place.

"Indeed I am. A pleasure to meet you too. Never thought of Maia being serious about the whole boyfriend thing." He smiled shaking Drew's hand. Okay well, this is awkward. I can't tell whether he's joking or not.

"Sorry to disappoint you," Drew replied, his tone laced with boredom.

"I'm just kidding." He chuckled.

"Well, I better get going and greet your brother. See you around Maia." He smiled at me as he disappeared into the crowd.

I slipped away from Drew's hold as I look up at him seeing his reaction to what we just encountered.

"What a tool." He scoffed.

"Hey be nice." I elbowed his arm looking at him with my eyebrows knit together as he rolled his eyes at me in return.

"Was he the guy that your Mom sent?" He questioned.

"Yes now, can we drop it?" I sighed.

"Should've given him a piece of my mind." He grunted trying to search for him from the crowd.

"Relax." I looked at him rolling my eyes.
