Bruce

Bruce was working on a serum in the lab of the Hellicarrier when he felt something off. Steve, Natasha, and Clint had left to help the kids get Spider-Man and stop the police from killing them but he hadn't heard back from them yet.

"Bruce," A voice came to him via Bluetooth. It was Annabeth. "We need you here ASAP. Ghostie's got a bullet in his side. Bring Fury too. We have a wall of water holding back the police. They've probably called for backup."

"We'll be right there. Is Cap with you?" He said.

He heard Annabeth telling someone not to move and something about using webs as emergency bandages. They must have gotten Spider-Man on their side.

"Cap? No, no one has arrived since Hurricane and I came." She replied.

There was a buzz and Steve clocked in. "We're at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Where are you guys?"

"At the crown. We need backup. The police were coming for Spider-Man as well. Ghostie's been injured." Annabeth told them.

"We'll be right there." Natasha said. She never turned off her Bluetooth.
.....
Steve

Steve had a problem. Natasha, Clint and he himself were at the base of the Statue of Liberty with no way up and at the top, their newest teammates were in trouble. Worst of all, one of them was injured.

"We need to get up there," He stated.

"Well, no duh, Captain Obvious." Clint said. "How exactly do you expect us to get up there? We can't fly."

"Maybe not, but we can climb."

"Hydra Arrow?" Clint asked.

"Hydra Arrow." Steve agreed.

"Just make it one of the retractable ones you got for your birthday. We don't want to wear ourselves out." Natasha added.

"True." Clint fired the arrow.

A thin but strong rope cascaded from it and wove into a ladder as the arrow flew and grappled onto the crown. The end landed in front of them and Steve started to climb. He stopped when he was about sixteen feet above the ground. Hawkeye and the Black Widow were right below him on the ladder.

"Pull the lever, Kronk. We don't know how much time we have." Natasha said.

Steve didn't know what that was from, but it must've been funny because Clint smirked and pushed a button. They dropped down a couple feet.

"Wrong lever!" Natasha called. "Stop messing around, stupid!"

"Men." She muttered under her breath.

"What was that?" Clint brandished the control pad, his finger hovering over a red button.

"Don't you dare." Natasha threatened.

Steve smiled. He would probably laugh at their antics if he had watched the movie or show or whatever it was. Overall, the situation was funny.

That is, until he remembered why they needed to get up there and saw what the button was. It said "Detach." He swiped the controller from Hawkeye and pressed a green button that said "rise."

"We have a mission, remember?" Steve said. "I'll handle the injury while you two deal with the police."

"Got it." Clint responded.

"No problem," Natasha replied.
......

Percy

"Look, I'm telling the truth. I'm the Steel Owl, I'm a new recruit for the Avengers, and my friends Hurricane and Ghost King are as well. We were sent on a mission to get Spider-Man." Annabeth told the police for the millionth time. "The other Avengers will explain further when they arrive."

"Sure they will," The chief said sarcastically.

"I'm starting to question your training. I mean, yes, we are new recruits and this was our first mission, but you'd think that the NYPD could tell when someone's lying and when they're telling the truth." Percy could tell that Annabeth was annoyed because she walked away and looked at the view.

Percy focused back on healing Nico's wound. He was originally just trying to get the bullet out, but after he fished it out with the water he realized that the flesh was healing itself a bit faster than normal and he decided to keep it on the wound. Well, the fact that after he removed the water for a second, the wound would overwhelm Nico with pain also sealed his decision like a cork in a bottle.

Annabeth had flown to a nearby general store for pain reliever, triple antibiotic, bandages, and antiseptic. When she came back she had them all.

She popped a pain reliever into Nico's mouth and he washed it down with nectar gratefully after she helped him into a sitting position.

Percy could tell that he winced as she moved him even though he still had on his helmet.

Even though Nico was in pain, he still thanked Annabeth. "Thanks,"

"You're welcome. Save your strength," Annabeth sat him back down. "You're going to need it."

"Is the nectar working?" Percy asked.

Nico nodded.

"I'm going to take the water off of you, okay?" Percy acted like the Apollo campers did when someone had an injury.

"Go ahead," Nico said.

"You sure?"

"Let the nectar do its jo-ob." Nico stuttered as Percy removed the water and plastered on a Band-Aid. He glared at Percy. "You're lucky I don't want to invoke your girlfriend's wrath."

"Hey, guys," Spider-Man said. "Captain America and two other people are coming up on a retractable ladder. Just a heads up."

There was a helicopter noise and Bruce and Fury were lowered from it on a platform, a surgical kit in Bruce's hand. Thor and Tony zipped around and Tony landed first.

"I told you the Mark-17 was faster than you and- OH MY ATHEIST!" He yelled as he saw Nico's wound.

"It's pretty bad, isn't it?" Nico said.

Steve was shocked speechless when he saw Nico speaking with a huge tear in his side.

"I heard Tony yell. What'd I miss- OH DEAR LORD THAT'S NOT A GOOD INJURY!" Clint yelled after he helped Natasha up.

Bruce rushed to Nico's side and brought out a surgical instrument.

"Don't do that." Annabeth stopped him before he ripped the Band-Aid on Nico's side. "We've already retrieved the bullet."

"Oh, then we should be able to bring him to the lab safely." Bruce said. "Do you want to ride with Captain America or Iron Man?"

"Captain America. I'm not too fond of heights."

I chose the Steel Owl for Annabeth because I was dead set on finding something that combined her mother's sphere of power with the powers of Annabeth's suit. I was thinking about going for Arachne's Bane but then I realized that it would get awkward when you have someone who's name means they hate spiders on the same team as someone who's name is a type of spider. Knife Mistress is just a bit of a tongue twister. Try saying it seven times fast.

I chose Hurricane for Percy because of obvious reasons.

I chose Ghost King for Nico because a villainous name is not good for a super and Ghost King could go for both and no one really calls him that.

I also didn't go with anything from the book with the exception of Ghost King for obvious reasons.
